The Garments of Remembrance

Hear this, Yisrael! Yahuah is speaking through the threads. He is revealing Himself in the fiber of our lives, in the very garments we wear. The reports come in waves – Edom tightening its grip, Babylon’s influence spreading, the serpent’s seed corrupting the foundations of this age. But amidst the darkness, a restoration is taking root, a turning back to the ways of our ancestors, a reclaiming of our covenant identity.

Consider the instructions given to Moshe, the meticulous detail regarding the clothing of the priests. Not gold-spun finery, but *linen* woven from the humble flax plant (Exodus 28). Linen, a natural fiber, a gift from the earth, a symbol of purity and separation. It was not about ostentation, but about *qodesh* – holiness. It was a visible declaration of their service to Yahuah, a reminder of the covenant they bore.

Beyond Comfort, A Covenant Sign

Today, we are awash in synthetics – plastic woven into imitation fibers. These are the products of a world devoted to speed and convenience, a world that has forsaken the natural order. They cling to the skin, trapping heat, hindering breath. They are the garments of a people disconnected from the earth, from their heritage, and from Yahuah.

This is not merely a matter of comfort, but of covenant. Every choice we make, every garment we wear, is a statement. Do we choose to participate in the systems of Edom, fueling their industries with our consumption? Or do we choose to align ourselves with the natural rhythms of Yahuah’s creation?

The Return to the Flax

Yahuah is calling us to return to the flax, to the wool, to the natural fibers that connect us to the land and to our ancestors. He is calling us to relearn the ancient arts of spinning and weaving, to create garments that are not merely coverings, but *testimonies*.

This is not a call for all to become weavers overnight. But it is a call to *intentionality*. To consider the origins of our clothing. To seek out garments made from natural fibers whenever possible. To support those who are striving to create a more Torah-aligned economy.

A Refinement Through Trial

The reports from the Watchman speak of escalating darkness. Edom’s alliances strengthen, Babylon’s influence expands, and the fruits of lawlessness are plain for all to see. This is the time of Yaacob’s trouble, the refining fire (Jeremiah 30:7). But even in the midst of tribulation, Yahuah is at work. He is preparing a remnant, a people who will not compromise their covenant identity.

The coming days will demand a separation from the ways of the world. A rejection of its vanity and its corruption. The garments of remembrance – linen and wool – will become a symbol of that separation, a visible declaration of our allegiance to Yahuah.

Preparing for the New Era

As we approach the closing of the 70th week of Daniel, the signs are multiplying. The prince of iron and clay prepares to break covenant. The abomination of desolation draws near. The time is short.

Let us heed the call to restoration. Let us embrace the simplicity of natural living. Let us clothe ourselves in the garments of remembrance, and prepare ourselves for the new era that is about to dawn. Yahuah is restoring all things, but He requires our participation. Let us answer His call, and walk in His ways. (Deuteronomy 30:16).
