The sheer scale of loss – over four thousand lives and twelve thousand wounded in mere weeks – isn’t random devastation, but a direct fulfillment of what is written in Obadiah 1:10-11: “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be utterly destroyed. In the day that Edom stood against you, in the day that strangers’ hands seized its strength, then they acted presumptuously.” Lebanon, historically a conduit for Edomite influence and a stage for conflicts aimed at undermining Yisrael, now bears the weight of Yahuah’s righteous judgment upon those who consistently oppose His covenant people. This isn’t to dismiss the suffering of individuals, but to recognize the larger spiritual battle unfolding, where nations are held accountable for their actions against Yahuah’s purposes.
