The presence of Israeli soldiers and civilians within Palestinian Authority-controlled areas is a direct violation of established boundaries – boundaries Yahuah ordained and the nations acknowledge, however feebly. The IDF’s operation is not an act of protection, but an assertion of dominance and a deliberate escalation of tensions.
Consider the symbolism. Jericho was the first city conquered by Joshua upon entering the Promised Land. It represents a gateway, a point of access to Yahuah’s inheritance. Now, the modern state of Israel, a counterfeit claiming the mantle of biblical Israel, attempts to control and occupy this same territory, not through righteous conquest but through military force and political maneuvering. This is not restoration; it is a perversion of the covenant.
This incident is not isolated. It is part of a pattern of relentless expansion and the hardening of the hearts of those who cling to the Zionist state. Yahuah watches as Israel continues to provoke both the surrounding nations and the true Yisrael, scattered among the nations, awaiting their promised regathering. The judgment upon Edom draws nearer with each act of aggression and each false claim to the land.
The covenant people of Yisrael must not be deceived by these narratives. We are a people set apart, called to witness truth and to prepare for the coming restoration. Do not mistake the actions of the Israeli government for the fulfillment of prophecy. True restoration will come through repentance, obedience, and a return to the covenant with Yahuah, not through the machinations of a political state built on stolen land and false pretenses. This extraction is a sign of the times – a sign of increasing conflict and a call to watchmen to sound the shofar.
The incursion into Jericho, framed as rescue, is but a fleeting echo of Yahuah’s long-foretold judgment upon Edom, a nation historically intertwined with opposition to Yisrael. Though currently scattered and seemingly subject to the whims of nations, Yahuah’s promise remains steadfast: “I will set a sign in heaven, and they shall know that I am Yahuah, and that it is I who have gathered them; I will gather them from the lands of the nations, and bring them back to their own land” (Ezekiel 37:13-14). The unrest, the perceived trespasses, and the ongoing struggles are birthing pains, refining the remnant and preparing the way for the arrival of Yahusha, who will establish a true and lasting peace, fulfilling all of Yahuah’s covenants and fully restoring His people to their rightful inheritance. Therefore, even amidst conflict, the prophetic narrative points towards a future of complete and undeniable restoration for Yisrael, orchestrated by Yahuah alone.
