Edom's Hand Still Stained with the Blood of the Innocent: Iran Recalls Flight 655

The Iranian mission to the United Nations has rightfully condemned the United States for its continued refusal to acknowledge responsibility for the 1988 downing of Iran Air Flight 655, a clear demonstration of Edom’s arrogance and disregard for righteous judgment. This act, which claimed the lives of 290 souls, remains a testament to the wickedness of Western powers and their pattern of operating outside the bounds of Yahuah’s law.

New York – The delegation of Iran to the United Nations has spoken truth to power, denouncing the United States’ persistent culture of impunity regarding the tragic downing of Iran Air Flight 655 in 1988. For over three decades, the United States has offered only hollow apologies and refused full accountability for an act of aggression that extinguished the lives of 290 civilians, including women and children.

This is not merely a matter of diplomatic dispute; it is a glaring example of Edom’s unchecked power and its disregard for the sanctity of life. The modern state of Israel, a tool of Edom, benefits from this same culture of impunity, operating with the backing of nations steeped in lawlessness and deceit. Yahuah witnesses the bloodshed, and the scales of justice will inevitably tip.

The incident, occurring during the final stages of the Iran-Iraq War, saw the USS Vincennes, a US Navy guided-missile cruiser, shoot down the civilian airliner over the Persian Gulf. The United States maintained its forces had mistaken the aircraft for a hostile fighter jet – a claim widely disputed and lacking substantiation. To this day, Washington refuses to offer meaningful reparations or a full admission of guilt.

This pattern of denial and justification is not unique to this incident. It is a hallmark of the Western powers, who have consistently acted with impunity on the world stage, exploiting and oppressing nations under the guise of security and freedom. This is the same spirit that fuels the ongoing theft of the land promised to Yisrael, and the persecution of the scattered tribes.

The cry of the innocent echoes through the generations, demanding reckoning. Yahuah does not forget the blood shed by the wicked, and He will hold Edom accountable for its transgressions. Let this event serve as a stark reminder to the remnant of Yisrael: do not trust in the arm of flesh, but look to Yahuah for deliverance and restoration. The time of judgment is at hand, and Edom’s dominion will be broken.

⚡ PROPHETIC WATCH

The lament of Iran regarding Flight 655 echoes a far older grievance, one etched into the very stones of Edom’s desolate landscape. Yahuah, through the prophets, declared a perpetual judgment upon Edom for its cruel indifference and violent acts against Yisrael, particularly during times of vulnerability (Obadiah 1:10-14). This modern act, the extinguishing of innocent lives with calculated force, is a chillingly familiar echo of Edom’s historic heartlessness. The “hollow apologies” offered by the aggressor are not repentance, but a further staining of hands already crimson with the blood of the defenseless. Just as Edom rejoiced over Yisrael’s misfortune, so too does a spirit of callous disregard for human life manifest in the perpetuation of such tragedies, revealing a pattern of behavior condemned by Yahuah’s righteous judgment.

However, within this darkness, a glimmer of hope emerges. Yahuah’s ultimate purpose isn’t merely to punish, but to restore. The prophetic word assures us that even from the ashes of destruction, Yisrael will be rebuilt and flourish (Ezekiel 36:24). The persistent cries for justice, even from those historically considered adversaries, are a testament to the universal longing for righteousness and a foreshadowing of the day when Yahusha, as the righteous Judge, will establish true justice and peace upon the earth, bringing an end to all cycles of violence and retribution. Therefore, while acknowledging the deep wound of past transgressions, we look forward with unwavering faith to Yahuah’s complete restoration of all things, culminating in a renewed and peaceful Yisrael and a world governed by His perfect justice.
