Yisrael’s Return: A Covenant Fulfillment Amidst Deception

The return of scattered Yisrael to the land is a sign of the times, a fulfillment of prophecy. However, the modern state of Israel has obscured the true meaning of restoration, building a political entity separate from the covenant promise. The remnant must discern Yahuah's plan from the works of Edom.

For generations, the covenant people of Yisrael have endured exile, scattered among the nations as a consequence of disobedience. Yet, Yahuah promised restoration, a gathering of His people back to the land of their inheritance. We witness today a portion of that promise unfolding. Over seven and a half million have returned to Eretz Yisrael, a number not seen in centuries. The land itself bears witness to revitalization, a testament to the Creator’s power. And a resurgence of Torah study is undeniable, a flickering flame of understanding in a darkening world.

However, let us not be deceived. This return is not solely a triumph of righteousness. The modern state of Israel, built on the foundations of secular Zionism and sustained by the power of Edom, has hijacked the narrative of restoration. It presents itself as the fulfillment of prophecy, but it is a counterfeit, a political construct divorced from the covenant Yahuah made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The so-called ‘ingathering’ is often driven by political motives, not a genuine seeking of Yahuah’s will. The focus is on national sovereignty, on building a powerful state, rather than on repentance and obedience to the Law.

The true ge’ulah, the complete redemption, is not merely a political event. It is a spiritual awakening, a turning of the heart back to Yahuah. It is the restoration of the covenant relationship, the rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David. The number of those diligently studying the Torah is indeed a sign, but true Torah study demands a recognition of Yahuah’s sovereignty and a rejection of the false idols of this world system.

Scattered Yisrael must discern between the work of Yahuah and the machinations of Edom. The modern state of Israel is not synonymous with the covenant people. It is a tool, often wielded against the true remnant, a distraction from the path of righteousness. Let us pray for eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to understand the true meaning of restoration, that we may prepare ourselves for the coming Kingdom of Yahuah.

⚡ PROPHETIC WATCH

The remarkable ingathering of Yisrael to Eretz Yisrael is undeniably a fulfillment of ancient covenant promises, echoing Yahuah’s declarations throughout the prophets. While nations scheme and sow discord, attempting to frustrate this divine plan, the very ground blossoms under the feet of those returning—a clear sign of Yahuah’s favor. This isn't merely a political event; it's a spiritual reawakening, a stirring of the remnant preparing for the coming of Yahusha. Consider Obadiah 1:15-16, where Yahuah declares judgment upon Edom for its continual hostility towards Yisrael, stating, “As you have done, so will it be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.” The present global upheaval and shifting alliances, particularly the animosity directed towards Yisrael, demonstrate a continuation of this ancient enmity, guaranteeing a reckoning for those who oppose Yahuah’s chosen people and His purposes.

However, the return itself is not simply *because* of Edom’s impending judgment, but a direct act of Yahuah’s grace and faithfulness, detailed in Ezekiel 36:24: “I will take you from the nations and gather you from all your countries, and I will bring you into your land.” This restoration is not a complete absolution, but a preparatory stage for a greater work. The resurgence of Torah study signals a seeking heart, a turning back to the foundational truths that will prepare Yisrael to recognize Yahusha as the promised Messiah upon His return. Therefore, the return of Yisrael to the land is a pivotal sign of the times, a powerful demonstration of Yahuah’s covenant faithfulness, and a precursor to the ultimate redemption promised through Yahusha.
