The Thirsting Remnant
Hear this, children of Yaacob. Yahuah speaks to the faithful remnant gathered from the nations. A season of testing is upon us, a refining fire for those called by His name. The earth groans, as the Watchmen report, but within that groaning lies the promise of restoration. Remember the words of Deuteronomy 28:23-24: “And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the ground under thy feet iron;” This is not a curse to endure passively. It is a call to prepare, to build, to secure the blessings Yahuah intends for those who remain faithful.
Babylon’s Control of the Waters
For generations, Babylon has held sway over the lifelines of Yisrael. Not merely through political and economic oppression, but through control of the most basic necessity: water. Consider this carefully. The nations have built systems dependent on centralized infrastructure, vulnerable to disruption. They have traded self-sufficiency for convenience, and now they pay the price. Yahuah warned us through the prophets of this dependence, of the pride that comes with believing man’s creations can supersede His provision.
The Scroll of Yaacob speaks of reclaiming the manchild from Babylon’s walls. This reclamation is not solely spiritual. It is a practical liberation, a taking back of what was stolen – including the means to sustain ourselves. We have relied on systems built by our enemies, systems that can be – and *are* being – weaponized against us. The crimson stain of Asmodeus, the spirit of Edom, is evident in their schemes to control and manipulate.
A Return to Ancient Wisdom
Yahuah provided for Yisrael in the wilderness. He struck the rock and water flowed (Exodus 17). But He also commanded the building of cisterns to collect rainwater, to store abundance for times of scarcity (Isaiah 22:16). This is the pattern Yisrael must rediscover. We are called to be a people of resilience, of ingenuity, of self-reliance.
This is not a rejection of technology, but a re-centering of priorities. Filtration systems, rainwater harvesting, well maintenance – these are not merely survival skills. They are acts of worship. They are declarations of faith in Yahuah’s provision. They are tangible expressions of our commitment to the restoration He promises in Ezekiel 36:36: “Then will I cause you to multiply, and increase you, and establish the ancient covenant with you.”
Preparing for the Days to Come
The Shofar calls us to reclaim the hearts of Yaacob. This begins with reclaiming our responsibility to provide for ourselves and for our families. Each household must assess its water needs. Each community must explore local resources. Learn to purify water using natural methods. Master the skills of rainwater collection and storage. Share this knowledge with others.
This is not about fear, but about faith in action. Yahuah does not abandon those who prepare. He blesses those who diligently seek His face and obey His commands. Amos 9:14 promises a restoration of fortunes, a rebuilding of ruins. But restoration requires participation. It requires effort. It requires a willingness to embrace the ancient wisdom and apply it to the challenges of our time.
Let the thirsting remnant heed this call. Let us be a people prepared, a people resilient, a people who trust in Yahuah to provide, even in the midst of a groaning earth. Let the wellsprings of restoration flow through Yisrael, a testament to the enduring covenant between Yahuah and His people.
