Hear this, O Yisrael. The shifting of wealth is not merely economics. It is the groaning of a world order straining under the weight of its own iniquity. Yahuah is exposing the false foundations upon which Babylon has built its towers. The de-dollarization movement, spoken of in hushed tones in the halls of power, is a direct consequence of the judgment upon Edom and a precursor to the restoration of Yaacob.

The Cracking of the Golden Calf

For generations, the wealth of nations has flowed through the arteries of Western finance. The dollar, a symbol of economic might, has become a golden calf worshiped by the nations. But Yahuah declares through the prophet Yirmiyahu, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from Yahuah” (Jeremiah 17:5). This trust in a system built on usury and debt is now being revealed as a fatal flaw.

Observe the nations turning eastward. Agreements forged in local currencies. Discussions of alternative payment systems. These are not simply pragmatic solutions. They are Yahuah dismantling the instruments of Edom’s oppression. The nations are waking from their slumber, recognizing the stranglehold that Babylon has held upon their economies.

The Echo of Ancient Empires

This is not a new pattern. Remember the days of Persia and Media. Remember the rise and fall of empires chronicled in Daniel. The transfer of power is a recurring theme in the Tanakh. Each shift signifies a judgment upon the previous order and the establishment of a new one – often, a temporary one, until the fullness of time.

Consider the prophecies against Babylon in Isaiah 14. “You were the pattern of the world, a shining example to many.” Yet, Yahuah declares, “But now you shall go down to the pit, and lie in the depths of the earth.” (Isaiah 14:15). Babylon, in all its forms, will always fall. The current iteration, veiled in the language of globalization and free trade, is no different.

The Weight on Edom

The judgment on Edom, as foretold in Obadiah, is multifaceted. It is not merely physical destruction, though that will come. It is also economic ruin. The dismantling of their financial systems. The erosion of their influence. The shifting of power away from their grasp.

See how the nations formerly reliant on the dollar now seek alternatives. This is a direct result of Edom’s arrogance and its relentless pursuit of self-interest. They have amassed wealth through exploitation and deceit, and Yahuah will not allow it to stand. “For the wickedness of Edom is full of violence, and its bloody deeds have not ceased” (Ezekiel 35:5).

The Seeds of Restoration

But within this turmoil lies the seed of restoration. As the grip of Babylon weakens, the path is cleared for the rebuilding of Yisrael. Deuteronomy 28 speaks of blessings flowing to a people who walk in obedience. “Yahuah will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to your fathers” (Deuteronomy 28:9).

This restoration is not solely spiritual. It is also material. As the nations turn away from the corrupt systems of the West, they will be drawn to the righteous foundations of a renewed Yisrael. The ancient paths, reclaimed and restored, will become beacons of stability and prosperity.

The Approaching Week

The events unfolding before us are not isolated incidents. They are integral to the closing of Daniel’s 70th week. The economic upheaval is a sign that the time is near. The prince of iron-and-clay kingdom seeks to control the flow of wealth, to consolidate power. But Yahuah’s plan will not be thwarted.

Prepare yourselves, O Yisrael. The refining fire is upon us. The time of Yaacob’s trouble is at hand. But remember the promise: “Though your beginnings were small, your latter days will be great” (Haggai 2:9). Hold fast to the covenant. Trust in Yahuah. And watch as He brings forth a new era of restoration and righteousness.
