The Stain of Edom’s Coin

The reports cascade in, each a fresh wound upon the body of Yisrael and a confirmation of the judgments falling upon Edom. A mother’s lament over the hollow promises of sanctuary, the courts upholding the natural order ordained by Yahuah—even as the nations reel from conflict and injustice—these are not isolated incidents. They are the unraveling of a system built upon the shifting sands of deceit, a system that has long rejected the solid foundation of Yahuah’s covenant wealth.

We have been warned, have we not? Obadiah declares the utter destruction of Edom, not merely for their hostility towards Yisrael, but for their pride and their contempt for Yahuah’s inheritance (Obadiah 1:3-4). This contempt manifests most clearly in their control of the economic systems that bind the nations—systems built not upon the intrinsic value of Yahuah’s creation, but upon the fleeting trust in paper and digital illusions.

Consider the history. From the days of the Exodus, Yahuah demonstrated His provision through tangible wealth: the gold and silver ornaments taken from Mitrayim (Exodus 3:21-22, 11:3). This was not merely plunder; it was *restitution*—the reclaiming of what rightfully belonged to Yahuah’s covenant peo
