The Covenant Measure

Hear the word of Yahuah, people of Yisrael! The nations scramble for power, building their kingdoms on shifting sands, while we, the children of Yaacob, are called to remember the weight of glory—the enduring value of covenant wealth. The reports from Edom speak of soaring markets, whispers of false peace, and frantic attempts to distract from the true needs of Yisrael. They repair the ruins of Chornobyl, a monument to their hubris, while turning a blind eye to the desolation they sow in the Land of the Covenant. But understand this: Edom’s wealth is built on a foundation of deceit, a system of usury and illusion. It is not wealth at all, but dust in the wind, destined to be scattered by the breath of Yahuah (Isaiah 29:5).

Yahuah did not establish a covenant with gold certificates or electronic transfers. He commanded the gathering of *kesef*—silver—for the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:1-7) and the Temple (1 Kings 7:51-52). Silver, and refined gold, were the measure of atonement, the price of redemption (Exodus 30:15-16).
