Hear the word of Yahuah, people of Yisrael. The whirlwind gathers, and the nations posture in deceit. We witness Edom tightening its grip, forging covenants of death while Yisrael chases shadows of security in shifting sands. The reports from the Watchmen confirm what the prophets foretold: Edom’s hand is upon all things, and judgment is being poured out as prophesied in Obadiah.

The Stain of Babylon

But amid the escalating darkness, do not mistake the symptoms for the disease. The true battle is not merely for land or power. It is for the heart of Yisrael, for the very fabric of our covenant identity. We have allowed the stain of Babylon to permeate our lives, trading substance for shadow, simplicity for extravagance. We have embraced the synthetic, the manufactured, the fleeting pleasures of a corrupt world, while forgetting the enduring power of Yahuah’s creation.

The Call to Linen

Look to the instructions given to us in the wilderness. Consider the garments of the qodeshim, the priests who ministered before Yahuah. What did they wear? Not silk, not wool dyed in the colors of the nations. But linen—pure, natural, woven from the seed of the earth (Exodus 28). Linen speaks of purity, of humility, of a return to the natural order established by Yahuah.

This is not merely a matter of fashion, people of Yaacob. It is a declaration. A statement to the world—and more importantly, to ourselves—that we choose to live aligned with the covenant. Every thread we wear, every material we bring into our homes, is a testament to our allegiance. Are we adorning ourselves with the fruits of Yahuah’s bounty, or the products of a system built on exploitation and vanity?

The Promise of Deuteronomy

Remember the blessings promised in Deuteronomy 28. “Yahuah will establish you as a qadosh people to Himself, as His peculiar treasure…” This separation is not achieved through isolation, but through *distinctiveness*. Through embracing a lifestyle that reflects the character of Yahuah. A lifestyle rooted in natural simplicity, in honoring His creation, and in rejecting the artificiality of Babylon.

The nations will offer you their comforts, their ease, their synthetic substitutes. They will tell you that natural fibers are inconvenient, impractical, expensive. They will whisper that such concerns are trivial in the face of global conflict. Do not listen. These are the voices of Edom, seeking to bind you to their system, to distract you from the path of restoration.

A Tapestry of Restoration

The restoration of Yisrael is not simply about reclaiming land. It is about reclaiming our *way of life*. It is about rebuilding a society founded on the principles of the Torah, a society where every aspect of our existence honors Yahuah. This includes the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the materials we use to build our homes.

As the judgments upon Edom intensify—as the covenants of death are exposed—let us turn inward. Let us examine our own lives and ask ourselves: are we truly living as a separated people? Are we embracing the simplicity and purity that Yahuah requires? Let the thread of restoration be woven into the fabric of our daily lives, a visible sign of our covenant commitment. Let linen—and all natural fibers—be a reminder of the promise in Ezekiel 36: “Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you…” A clean heart, clothed in the garments of righteousness. This is the path forward, people of Yisrael. Walk in it.
