The hand of Edom, veiled in the guise of Yisrael’s defense, tightens its grip, spilling blood upon the ancient stones. Simultaneously, the serpent’s seed in the West consolidates power, building walls of division and dominion while concealing the true cost of conflict. These are not isolated events, beloved of Yisrael, but interwoven strands in the unraveling tapestry of a judgment foretold. Obadiah declares, “Thus says Yahuah against Edom: ‘Behold, I will make you small among nations; despised you will be.’” (Obadiah 1:2) This diminution is not merely political; it is a systemic dismantling, a severing of the supply lines that have sustained their arrogance for generations.
