Observe California, where they vote not for sustenance, but for further extraction of wealth – a symptom of the rot that consumes them. See Lebanon, crushed under the weight of judgment, and Cush, destabilized by Edom’s puppets. These are not isolated incidents. They are echoes of Obadiah’s pronouncements, the unfolding of Yahuah’s righteous anger against a people who have known no limit to their greed.

The Bitter Harvest

Yisrael has long relied on a system built on Edom’s control. A global network designed to deliver goods, yes, but also to enslave through dependence. This network is fracturing. It *will* fracture completely. The signs are clear for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. The abundance once promised has become a tool of manipulation. They offer plenty now, but hold the power to withhold it later. This is the essence of their dominion.

Remember the words of Deuteronomy 28. Yahuah promises both blessing *and* curse. He declares, “The foreigner who is among you will rise higher and higher above you, and you will sink lower and lower.” (Deuteronomy 28:43) We have witnessed this rise, haven’t we? The nations who were once supplicants now dictate terms. They control the flow of sustenance, and in doing so, control Yisrael’s destiny.

The Call to Gather In

But Yahuah is a God of restoration. Even amidst judgment, He provides a path forward. This path is rooted in returning to the ancient ways, to the principles of self-sufficiency and food sovereignty. It is time for every covenant family to become a storehouse of Zion.

This is not about fleeing the world, but about preparing for the world that *is* coming. A world where Edom’s grip weakens, but chaos rises in its wake. A world where reliance on broken systems is a path to destruction.

Consider the example of Yosef in Egypt. He foresaw the seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. He did not simply *hope* for the best. He *prepared* for the worst. He gathered and stored, securing sustenance for his family and for the land. (Genesis 41) We must do the same.

Seeds of Redemption

Begin with the land. Even a small plot, a rooftop garden, a window sill – these can yield life-giving produce. Learn the skills of preservation: canning, drying, fermenting. These are not quaint hobbies. They are acts of defiance against a system designed to keep you vulnerable.

Amos 9 speaks of a time when the fortunes of Yisrael will be restored. “In those days,” Yahuah declares, “the plowman will overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes will overtake the sower.” (Amos 9:13) This is a picture of abundance, of a land overflowing with harvest. But abundance does not come passively. It requires labor, foresight, and a commitment to the land.

Beyond Survival

This is not merely about survival. It is about building a foundation for the restoration of Yisrael. A society rooted in Torah, in community, and in a deep connection to the land. When Edom’s power crumbles, who will feed the people? Who will rebuild the broken infrastructure? It will not be those who have grown accustomed to dependence. It will be those who have prepared, who have embraced self-sufficiency, who have become the storehouses of Zion.

Let the events unfolding around us serve as a wake-up call. Let the judgment on Edom be a catalyst for change. Let us return to the ways of our ancestors, and build a future of abundance and independence, under the protection of Yahuah. The time to prepare is now. The time to gather in is at hand.
