Yisrael, hear the voice of the Watchman. The nations are stirring. They gather against Jerusalem, fulfilling the ancient words of Zechariah 12. Do not mistake this for mere political maneuvering. This is a spiritual battle, a reckoning ordained from before the foundation of the world.
The Weight of the Stones
Jerusalem is not merely a city of stone and mortar. It is the heart of Yahuah’s covenant with Yaacob. Every stone holds a memory. Every alleyway echoes with the prayers of prophets and kings. And now, the stones cry out – a lament for broken promises and a warning of judgment to come.
The nations, blinded by their own ambitions, believe they can dictate terms to the Most High through control of this holy ground. They offer gifts with one hand, while plotting division with the other. This is the behavior of Edom, a people steeped in treachery, attempting to appease and then ultimately dominate. Observe their diminishing fortunes. Their oil reserves wane, their tech giants falter, their offerings ring hollow – all signs of Yahuah’s hand against them (Obadiah 1:10-11).
The Broken Covenant and the Serpent’s Seed
Consider the recent attempts to redefine the narrative surrounding the events of 9/11. A manufactured memory serves a singular purpose: to distract from the true source of conflict and to justify ongoing interventions in the land. This is the work of the Serpent’s seed, sowing discord and division among the peoples.
They seek to fracture Yisrael, to redraw borders, and to erase the divine claim upon this inheritance. Amos 9:9 speaks plainly: “I will rebuild the tabernacle of David… and I will plant them upon their own land, and they shall no longer be removed from off the land that I have given for a possession unto them.” The attempts to displace Yisrael are a direct challenge to Yahuah’s word.
The Gathering Storm
The nations believe they are acting in their own self-interest. They see economic advantage, strategic gain, and political power. But they fail to recognize the true stakes. They are pawns in a larger game, manipulated by forces beyond their comprehension. Zechariah 14:2 declares that Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone for all people. Those who try to lift it will surely be hurt.
Pay attention to the increasing pressure surrounding the Temple Mount. Every attempt to alter the status quo, every concession made to appease the nations, weakens Yisrael’s position. This is not a call for aggression. It is a call for discernment. It is a call to stand firm upon the covenant, to trust in Yahuah’s unwavering promise.
The Time Draws Near
The 70th week of Daniel unfolds before our eyes. The midpoint approaches, and with it, the breaking of covenants and the rise of the abomination of desolation. This is not a time for complacency. It is a time for repentance, for prayer, and for unwavering faith.
Yahuah is faithful to His promises. He will defend His people and restore His kingdom. But judgment will fall upon those who oppose His will. Remember the fate of Edom, a people consumed by their pride and rebellion (Isaiah 34). Let their example serve as a warning.
The stones of Jerusalem cry out. Hear their plea. Prepare your hearts. The time draws near.
