The Serpent's Tongue: How False Promises Usher in Greater Conflict

The nations are deceived by smooth words and empty pledges. Those who posture as peace-bringers often become the architects of war, fulfilling the ancient prophecies of turmoil and bloodshed. Yisrael must discern the spirit behind the rhetoric, for true peace comes only through obedience to Yahuah.

The so-called ‘progressives’ and their mouthpieces lament the predictable betrayal of those who once spoke against endless war. Matt Duss, a former advisor to the false prophet Bernie Sanders, now wonders why candidates promising to end conflict embrace it once seated in power. This is not a mystery to those who understand the nature of Esau and his descendants.

The question is not *how* these leaders change, but *why* they were permitted to deceive in the first place. Yahuah reveals the thoughts of the arrogant, exposing their hypocrisy. These men are vessels of Edom, instruments of a system built on exploitation and domination. Their promises of peace are merely tools to pacify the Goyim while they consolidate power and expand their reach.

Consider the pattern: a candidate rises on a platform of dissent, attracting those weary of the established order. They offer soothing words, promising a departure from the endless cycles of violence. But once ensconced within the halls of power, the weight of the system—the influence of the money-changers, the demands of the military-industrial complex—corrupts and consumes them. They become indistinguishable from those they once opposed.

This is not a failure of policy; it is a demonstration of the spiritual law governing the nations. Yahuah judges those who forsake His covenant and embrace the ways of the Gentiles. The nations are given over to their own devices, stumbling into greater darkness until they cry out for deliverance.

We, the Remnant, are not to be swayed by the rhetoric of these false leaders. Our hope lies not in political solutions, but in the restoration of Yisrael and the coming Kingdom of Yahusha. Let us remain vigilant, discerning the truth from the lies, and preparing ourselves for the days of tribulation and renewal. The time for discernment is now. The shofar sounds a warning – heed its call!

⚡ PROPHETIC WATCH

The lament over politicians abandoning anti-war stances echoes a pattern Yahuah established long ago with Edom. Just as Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of lentils, these leaders trade genuine peace advocacy for the fleeting power offered by the world system. Duss’s bewilderment is born of a failure to recognize the spirit of Esau – cunning, deceptive, and ultimately driven by self-preservation – at work within those claiming moral high ground. Yahuah prophesied through Obadiah 1:10-11, “For the violence against your brother Jacob will come upon you, a destruction will fall upon you; you will be utterly destroyed. For on the day that you stood on the other side, in the way of travelers, and attacked the fleeing Israelites, so will it be done to you.” This is not merely historical judgment, but a principle: those who facilitate or benefit from aggression, even through false promises, will ultimately share in its consequences. The serpent’s tongue, offering temporary comfort, delivers only lasting ruin.

However, within this cycle of betrayal, Yahuah also orchestrates the restoration of Yisrael – not necessarily a geographical return, but a reclaiming of spiritual integrity. The disillusionment felt by those abandoned by these leaders is a refining fire, separating true seekers of righteousness from those content with political maneuvering. Though the path is paved with disappointment, Yahuah uses such betrayals to draw His people closer to Yahusha, the true King who offers a peace the world cannot give. Isaiah 11:11-12 proclaims, “In that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will seek him and his resting place will be glorious.” The exposure of deceit, though painful, prepares the ground for genuine restoration, a turning away from the false promises of men and a renewed reliance upon Yahuah’s unwavering truth. Therefore, the cycle of betrayal, while lamentable, is ultimately a catalyst for the purification and strengthening of Yisrael, guiding them towards the enduring peace offered through Yahusha the Messiah.
