The Serpent in the Academy

Hear this, people of Yisrael. Yahuah speaks through the shofar blast, warning of a subtle but devastating invasion. It is not one of tanks and missiles, but of textbooks and curricula. Edom wages war not only on our borders, but within the minds of our children. They seek to dismantle the covenant, to erase the memory of our fathers, and to replace it with the philosophies of a foreign god.

Observe the reports. “Israel plays politics with history.” They rewrite the past to suit their present narratives. “Israel’s boundaries upheld,” while the true boundaries – the covenant promises to Yaacob – are ignored. This is the work of Edom, twisting truth and obscuring the inheritance. They seek to define who we are, not by our sacred calling, but by their worldly standards.

A Generation Stripped of Remembrance

Consider the schools. What is being taught to the young ones? Are they learning the stories of our ancestors, the battles fought for righteousness, the laws given on Sinai? Or are they being fed a diluted, secularized version of our history, stripped of its spiritual core? The very foundation of our identity is under assault.

Edom’s grip tightens through technology, as the Watchman rightly proclaims. But the most insidious device is not the screen itself, but the information it delivers. It is a stream of propaganda, designed to erode faith and replace it with doubt. They promote a culture of individualism, severing the ties that bind us to the covenant community. They exalt human reason above divine revelation.

This is a deliberate strategy. Obadiah prophesied the destruction of Edom, but the assault began long before the physical battles. It began in the hearts and minds of the people. “The pride of your heart has deceived you,” (Obadiah 1:3) speaks to Edom’s arrogance, believing they can dismantle Yahuah’s plans. But Yahuah sees their devices. He knows their intentions.

The Covenant and the Curriculum

Yahuah commanded us in Deuteronomy 6:6-9: “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” This is not merely a suggestion. It is a sacred obligation.

Where is this instruction in the modern curriculum? It is marginalized, minimized, or altogether absent. The focus is on worldly achievement, on fitting into the global system, on becoming productive citizens of Babylon. The eternal covenant is sacrificed on the altar of temporal gain.

This is a betrayal of our heritage. It is a rejection of Yahuah’s call to be a light unto the nations. Amos 9:9 warns, “I will sift the people of Yisrael among all nations, as one sifts with a sieve, but not a kernel of wheat shall fall to the ground.” Yet, we allow our kernels—our children—to be scattered and lost in the fields of Edom.

The Time to Reclaim

Hear Yahuah’s call to repentance. Withdraw your children from the institutions of indoctrination. Establish schools that teach the truth of the covenant, that nurture faith, and that prepare a generation to walk in the ways of righteousness.

Remember the words of Isaiah 61:6: “Then you will be called by a new name that the mouth of Yahuah will bestow.” This is not merely a symbolic change. It is a restoration of our true identity, a reclaiming of our covenant birthright.

The judgment on Edom is unfolding. But within that judgment lies an opportunity for restoration. If Yisrael will turn from their idols and return to Yahuah with all their heart, He will have mercy. He will rebuild the ruins and restore the land. But it begins with reclaiming the hearts and minds of the children. Let the scrolls be unrolled, and let the truth be known.
