The so-called wellness industry peddles a dangerous delusion: the belief that humanity is fundamentally flawed, a broken mechanism requiring constant repair and upgrade. This is not a new doctrine, but a modern iteration of the ancient lie – that man can become like Elohim through his own efforts. Yahuah declares through the prophet Isaiah, “Woe to those who seek wisdom in the depths of their hearts, rather than turning to Me!” (Isaiah 29:8).

This incessant ‘maxxing’ – the obsessive pursuit of peak physical and mental performance – is a distraction from the true path. It is a subtle form of self-worship, a re-centering of the individual ego where Yahuah should be. The relentless focus on the temporary vessel of flesh blinds the individual to the eternal soul, to the covenant promises, and to the impending judgment. The pursuit of strength, vitality, and cognitive enhancement, divorced from obedience to Yahuah’s law, is vanity of vanities.

Consider the scriptures: “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). This relentless drive for self-improvement, fueled by worldly metrics and fleeting validation, leaves the spirit barren and empty. It is a chasing after wind, a building on sand. The modern state of Israel, obsessed with its own military prowess and technological advancements, embodies this very principle – a desperate attempt to secure itself through earthly means, ignoring the spiritual foundation required for true security.

Scattered Yisrael must discern this deception. True wellness is not found in sculpted physiques or optimized brain function, but in a humble submission to Yahuah, a diligent study of His word, and a sincere repentance for transgression. The covenant people are called to be set apart, not assimilated into the idolatrous pursuits of a dying world. Let us turn away from the fleeting promises of the flesh and return to the enduring truth of the covenant. Let us seek not to ‘maximize’ ourselves, but to be filled with the Ruach HaKodesh, and become vessels for Yahuah’s glory.
