Look around you. Edom’s foundations are fracturing. We see it in the legal battles that consume what was once a republic (Jeremiah 49:3-6). We witness it in the plagues and pestilence that ravage the lands Edom claims to protect (Obadiah 1:10). The reports from the Congo speak of a returning darkness, a judgment upon those who forsake the ways of Yahuah. Edom’s alliances are forged not from strength, but from desperation, a frantic grasping for control as its grip loosens.

The very tools Edom boasts of—the machines that promise ease—are diminishing the labor of Yisrael and binding the nations in chains (The Machine Rises). This is not progress. It is a subtle enslavement, a replacement of human purpose with cold, unfeeling automation.

The Rising of the Dragon and the Bear

But Yahuah is not limited to one instrument of judgment. He employs many, and now we see a rising power in the East. The nations of Russia and China are no longer content to remain in Edom’s shadow. They forge their own path, offering a counterweight to Edom’s global influence.

This is not a cause for rejoicing among the covenant people. Do not mistake a shift in oppressors for liberation. Yahuah is simply rearranging the pieces on the board. The rising of the Dragon and the Bear is not a rescue mission for Yisrael, but a further unraveling of the established order—an order built upon the foundations of rebellion and idolatry.

Iran: A Catalyst in the Shifting Sands

Consider the unrest in Iran (Iran Escalates Assault on Kurdish Resistance). This is not merely a regional conflict. It is a symptom of a larger struggle, a fracturing of the old alliances. Iran, long a pawn in Edom’s games, now seeks its own sphere of influence. This destabilization is intentional, a deliberate weakening of Edom’s control over vital resources and strategic territories.

Yahuah uses the nations as instruments of His will, even those who know Him not. He stirs up trouble among the wicked, turning their ambition against themselves. This is the pattern foretold in the Tanakh.

The Time of Jacob’s Trouble Draws Near

These events are not isolated incidents. They are threads in a larger tapestry, woven according to Yahuah’s eternal plan. We are entering the closing years of the 120th Yovel cycle, the final seven years marked by Daniel’s prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27). The midpoint approaches. The prince of the iron-and-clay kingdom will break covenant, and the abomination of desolation will be revealed.

This will be a time of great tribulation for Yaacob (Jeremiah 30:7). A refining fire will cleanse the qodeshim, separating the faithful from the hypocrites. There will be no escape for those who cling to the ways of Edom.

Prepare Your Hearts

Therefore, prepare yourselves, O house of Yisrael. Do not be deceived by the shifting of power. Do not place your trust in nations, whether East or West. Place your trust solely in Yahuah, the Rock of your salvation. Return to the covenant, and walk in His ways.

Let the judgment upon Edom serve as a warning. Let the rising of the East be a sign that Yahuah’s hand is moving. The time of restoration is coming, but it will be preceded by a time of testing and trial. Strengthen your hearts, and remain steadfast in your faith. The shofar sounds. Hear the call! (Isaiah 18:3)
