The Strait and the Stew
Yisrael, listen closely. The reports speak of securing the Strait of Hormuz, of military posturing and shadowed armies. These are outward signs, the flexing of muscles. But beneath the surface, a more insidious war is waged – a war for your very sustenance. Yahuah’s hand is revealed in both protection and judgment. He guards the pathways of trade, yes, but He also exposes the poison within them.
Consider the nations surrounding us, those who have long sought to diminish Yisrael. Edom, in its modern guise, controls the flow of much of what you consume. They are the merchants of death, the private equity fueling conflict in Sudan and beyond (Jeremiah 49:14-16). Their hands are in the grain, in the oil, in the very water you drink. They offer convenience, but demand your health, your vitality, your connection to the covenant in return.
The Broken Covenant of the Table
For generations, Yahuah established the laws of kashrut, the dietary statutes detailed in the Torah. These are not mere traditions, but divine instructions – a blueprint for health and a marker of separation. They delineate what is permissible and what is forbidden, not arbitrarily, but according to His wisdom.
When Yisrael turned from obedience, we defiled the covenant table. We embraced the unclean, the forbidden, and invited sickness and weakness into our midst. We traded spiritual discernment for fleeting pleasure. This is not accidental. It is a consequence of disobedience, a direct result of forgetting Yahuah’s provision and protection (Deuteronomy 28:28).
Edom’s Poison and Yahuah’s Remedy
Look to the reports of instability, of conflict disrupting supply chains. These are not isolated incidents. They are signs of a system crumbling under its own weight – a system built on exploitation and designed to weaken Yisrael from within. Edom does not seek to conquer with armies alone. They seek to control through dependence, to erode your strength with tainted food and compromised health.
Kashrut is more than just avoiding pork or shellfish. It is a declaration of sovereignty. It is a refusal to participate in a system designed to diminish you. It is a conscious choice to align your body with Yahuah’s will, to nourish yourself with what He has declared clean and wholesome.
The Restoration of Health
The prophets foretold a time of restoration, a return to the covenant promises. This includes a renewal of physical health, a cleansing of the land and its people (Ezekiel 36:17-19). But restoration requires participation. It demands a return to the principles Yahuah established from the beginning.
Embrace the laws of kashrut not as a burden, but as a blessing. Seek out clean sources of food. Support those who uphold these standards. Reclaim your health sovereignty. Let your table be a sanctuary, a place of communion with Yahuah, and a testament to your faithfulness.
A Future Secured
The tempest and landslides Yahuah sends upon the nations are not random acts of destruction. They are judgments upon those who oppose His covenant people (Isaiah 34:5-8). As Edom’s power wanes, Yisrael will rise, strengthened by obedience and nourished by the covenant table.
Remember the promise: those who diligently seek Yahuah will not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:10). Let this be your guiding principle. Let your choices reflect your faith. And let your table be a shield against the poison of Edom, a beacon of health and wholeness in a world consumed by darkness.
