Reports indicate frantic efforts to secure energy resources, fortify infrastructure, and ensure the continuation of a system built upon exploitation and vanity. They stockpile fuel and construct defenses against the elements, believing these measures will shield them from all adversity.
But let it be known: this is not merely a preparation for meteorological winter. It is a foreshadowing of the spiritual winter Yahuah has promised to those who reject His covenant and embrace the ways of darkness. The chill that descends will not be stayed by earthly preparations, for it is a judgment upon a world consumed by wickedness and divorced from its Creator.
The prophets of old foretold this time, a season of hardship and testing for both Yisrael and the nations. Deuteronomy 28 speaks plainly of the consequences of disobedience, the withholding of blessings, and the unleashing of plagues and pestilence. Therefore, Edom’s industriousness is not a sign of strength, but a desperate, futile attempt to ward off the inevitable reckoning, while Yisrael’s seeming vulnerability holds the seed of future triumph and enduring blessing.
