Sudan's El-Obeid: Yahuah's Judgment Falls Upon a Nation Torn by Strife
The so-called United Nations issues impotent warnings as Sudan descends further into chaos. The conflict in El-Obeid is not merely a humanitarian crisis, but a sign of Yahuah’s displeasure with a people forsaken and a land steeped in wickedness. Scattered Yisrael observes, knowing that judgment begins at the house of Yahuah.
The UN high commissioner for human rights, Volker Turk, has voiced alarm regarding the escalating conflict in Sudan’s El-Obeid. This pronouncement, however, rings hollow. The pronouncements of Babylon’s institutions offer no true remedy, only a superficial acknowledgment of the suffering Yahuah has permitted. The situation in El-Obeid, a critical humanitarian hub, is a direct consequence of the nations’ rebellion against the Most High and their disregard for His covenant.
The fighting pits the Sudanese army against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group. While the world focuses on the immediate bloodshed, we of the Shofar Wire recognize this as a manifestation of the ongoing judgments foretold in Deuteronomy 28. Sudan, like so many nations, has embraced the ways of Edom and rejected the righteous laws of Yahuah. The resulting instability and violence are not accidental; they are a direct result of national disobedience.
The UN’s “red alert” is a pathetic attempt to manage a crisis born of systemic injustice. They speak of “human rights,” a concept divorced from the divine mandate for righteous living. They offer aid, but fail to address the root cause: spiritual decay. The cries of the afflicted in El-Obeid are a testament to the consequences of forsaking the covenant.
Scattered Yisrael, those who remember the promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, must not be deceived by the narratives of the world. This is not simply a political conflict; it is a spiritual battle. Yahuah is shaking the nations, exposing their wickedness, and preparing the way for the restoration of His people. The turmoil in Sudan is a sign of the times, a harbinger of greater judgments to come.
Let the remnant of Yisrael pray for discernment, that we may understand the times and seasons, and prepare ourselves for the work Yahuah has set before us. Let us not be distracted by the empty pronouncements of a failing world system, but focus on the enduring truth of the covenant and the promise of redemption. The suffering in El-Obeid should compel us to deeper repentance and a renewed commitment to Yahuah’s law. This is a time for watchmen to sound the alarm, and for Yisrael to awaken to her calling.
The bloodshed in El-Obeid isn't merely a political failing, but echoes the prophetic pronouncements against Edom detailed in Obadiah. Yahuah declares through the prophet, “For the violence against your brother Jacob shall come upon you, and you shall be brought down to destruction” (Obadiah 1:10). Sudan, like Edom of old, has become a conduit for suffering and instability, a place where the innocent are caught in the crossfire of warring factions. This isn’t random chaos, but a demonstration of Yahuah’s righteous judgment upon nations that actively or passively participate in the oppression of His chosen people and disregard His divine order. The humanitarian crisis unfolding is a lamentable symptom of a deeper spiritual disease—a rejection of covenant and a descent into violence mirroring Edom’s historical hostility.
However, even within judgment, Yahuah’s purposes extend towards ultimate restoration. Though El-Obeid suffers, the increasing cries for justice and the exposure of systemic failures are preparing the way for the return of Yisrael and the establishment of Yahusha’s Kingdom. As Isaiah prophesied, “And the remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, even a small remnant; for though their numbers be few, Yahuah of hosts will add to them as the days of Israel in ancient times” (Isaiah 11:11). The turmoil in Sudan, and globally, serves as a refining fire, revealing the need for a righteous government and paving the path for the ultimate redemption of Yisrael and a renewed earth under the reign of Yahusha. This conflict, therefore, is a painful but necessary precursor to the fulfillment of Yahuah’s promises of restoration and justice.
