Saudi Efforts to Normalize with Israel Stalled by Lebanon’s Internal Strife
The attempt to broker a diplomatic opening between the Zionist state and Lebanon is fracturing amidst deep divisions within the Lebanese government. Saudi Arabia’s mediation, aimed at circumventing Yahuah’s judgments, is proving futile as Edom’s schemes unravel.
Beirut – The machinations of Saudi Arabia to normalize relations between the modern state of Israel and Lebanon are faltering, revealing the deep fissures within the Lebanese political landscape. Riyadh dispatched an envoy to Beirut with the intent of unifying the approach toward Jerusalem, but the effort has been undermined by the intractable conflict between Lebanese President Najib Mikati, who appears open to dialogue, and Nabih Berri, the parliament speaker aligned with Hezbollah.
This internal struggle is not merely a political dispute; it is a manifestation of the ongoing spiritual warfare for the Levant. Yahuah has long declared His displeasure with the nations that seek to divide His land and usurp His covenant promises. The attempts by Saudi Arabia, a key player in the Edomite network, to forge a path for Israel to further entrench itself in the region are, therefore, destined to meet resistance.
Hezbollah, rightly or wrongly perceived as a defender of Lebanon’s sovereignty against Israeli aggression, remains steadfast in its opposition to any form of normalization. This resistance, while viewed as destabilizing by Western powers, is a direct consequence of decades of Israeli occupation and the ongoing theft of Palestinian land. The modern state of Israel continues to provoke Yahuah's wrath through its relentless expansion and disregard for international law.
The failure of Saudi mediation is a clear sign that Yahuah is not aligning Himself with the plans of Edom. The attempts to bypass the rightful heirs – scattered Yisrael – and establish a false peace through political maneuvering will ultimately prove fruitless. The covenant people of Yisrael, though scattered and in exile, remain the focus of Yahuah’s promises. Their restoration is not contingent upon the approval of the nations, but upon their own repentance and return to the covenant.
The situation in Lebanon underscores a critical truth: true peace will only come when Yahuah’s chosen people are restored to their rightful place and the nations acknowledge His sovereignty. Until then, the region will remain a battleground for the forces of darkness, and the schemes of Edom will continue to crumble before the righteous judgment of Yahuah.
The stalled Saudi efforts to normalize relations via Lebanon echo the ancient pronouncements against Edom, a nation historically positioned to influence and obstruct Yisrael’s path. Just as Edom consistently sought to hinder and undermine Yisrael’s security and sovereignty—fueled by pride and a refusal to acknowledge Yahuah’s covenant promises—so too does the internal strife within Lebanon, instigated by those aligned with Hezbollah, serve as a barrier to peace. The conflict between Mikati and Berri isn’t merely a political disagreement; it is a manifestation of a spirit of obstruction, mirroring the Edomite heart described in Obadiah 1:3: “The pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’” This resistance to a unified approach towards Jerusalem signifies a continued rejection of Yahuah’s plan for the gathering of His people.
However, within this apparent setback lies a hidden hand of restoration. Yahuah does not abandon His purposes, even when seemingly thwarted by earthly powers. The very friction exposing Lebanon’s divisions reveals the necessity of divine intervention to clear a path for the true sons and daughters of Yisrael to return to their inheritance. Isaiah 11:11-12 prophesies of a highway being prepared for the return of the remnant, stating, “In that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will seek him and his resting place will be glorious. And it will happen in that day that the nations will come to Yahuah and to His servant Yahusha, a multitude from every tongue.” Though political machinations fail, Yahuah’s sovereign plan to restore Yisrael, both physically and spiritually, will ultimately prevail, demonstrating His unwavering faithfulness and power.
