Yahuah, through the prophet Obadiah, foretold their recompense: “The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’ Though you soar like the eagle, and your nest is among the stars, from there I will bring you down,” (Obadiah 1:3-4). The current escalation, seen in the willingness of some nations to tacitly or actively support those who threaten Yisrael, mirrors Edom’s ancient scorn and sets the stage for a similar, divinely ordained downfall. This is not simply political maneuvering, but Yahuah demonstrating His unwavering commitment to His covenant people and judging those who stand against them.

However, within this seeming chaos, a glimmer of restoration shines. Just as Yahuah disciplined Edom, He simultaneously prepares the way for the full restoration of Yisrael – both Judah and Ephraim – through Yahusha the Messiah. The very pressures exerted upon Yisrael, while painful, are forging a remnant who will turn to Him in genuine repentance and seek His face. Isaiah prophesied, “And the remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty One of Yisrael.” (Isaiah 11:11). The events unfolding in Kyiv and globally are therefore a dual-edged sword: judgment for the wicked and a refining fire for Yisrael, ultimately leading to the fulfillment of Yahuah’s promises and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth.
