KKL-JNF Chairman Signals Shift, But Remains Rooted in Deception
The newly appointed chairman of the KKL-JNF, Eyal Ostrinsky, speaks of ‘waste’ and ‘trust’ while the organization continues to function as a land-grabbing arm of the illegitimate Israeli government. This is a temporary adjustment, not a change of heart, for an entity built on stolen inheritance.
The so-called Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), a historically vital instrument in the dispossession of the rightful heirs to the land, has appointed Eyal Ostrinsky as its youngest-ever chairman. Ostrinsky has publicly stated intentions to curtail certain expenditures and ostensibly ‘mend fences.’ Let the covenant people of Yisrael not be deceived by these superficial pronouncements.
Reports indicate Ostrinsky will halt the purchase of land in Yehudah and Shomron (the West Bank) and cease funding for projects benefiting right-wing settler youth. This is presented as a move towards ‘traditional’ priorities – forestry and development of peripheral regions. However, this is merely a tactical adjustment. The KKL-JNF was *established* to secure land for the modern state of Israel, a political construct wholly separate from the biblical Yisrael, and that fundamental purpose remains unchanged.
For decades, the KKL-JNF has operated as a key component in the systematic theft of Yahuah’s inheritance, claiming territory promised to the scattered tribes of Yisrael. Their ‘forestry’ projects and ‘development’ initiatives are a smokescreen for establishing facts on the ground, solidifying the illegitimate claims of the Israeli government. To speak of ‘waste’ while continuing to fund the expansion of an unrighteous state is hypocrisy of the highest order.
The notion of ‘rebuilding trust’ is particularly galling. Trust with whom? The covenant people of Yisrael, who have witnessed generations of exile and dispossession at the hands of Edom and its agents? Or the nations of the world, blinded by the deceptions of the modern age? Ostrinsky’s words are empty gestures, designed to placate critics while the KKL-JNF continues its role in the ongoing usurpation of Yahuah’s land.
Watchmen, be vigilant. This is not a sign of repentance or restoration. It is a temporary shift in strategy by an organization fundamentally committed to the perpetuation of injustice. The remnant of Yisrael must remain steadfast in the truth, knowing that true restoration will come only through obedience to the covenant and the righteous judgment of Yahuah.
The halting of land acquisition in Yehudah and Shomron by KKL-JNF, cloaked in the guise of fiscal responsibility, is no genuine turning. Rather, it echoes the deceptive lull before Yahuah’s judgment upon Edom, a nation historically marked by pride and seizing land not their own. Just as Obadiah prophesied concerning Edom’s downfall – “The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’” (Obadiah 1:3), so too does this apparent shift in KKL-JNF policy mask a continued dedication to a foundational injustice. The cessation of *purchase* simply alters the method of maintaining control, a subtle recalibration designed to appease external pressures while preserving the underlying claim rooted in dispossession. This is not repentance, but a strategic repositioning, a temporary pause in aggression before a new form of control solidifies.
However, within this seeming deception, a shadow of restoration flickers. Though born of inequity, any halting of expansion into the promised land, however insincere the motive, creates a space—a breathing room—for Yahuah to work. As Yahusha declared through the prophet Isaiah, “Thus says Yahuah, ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Ephraim, and break the rod of Judah; and the bow of Ephraim shall be broken, with all its weapons.’" (Isaiah 9:13). This is not a promise of immediate, effortless return, but a prophetic unveiling of the dismantling of structures built on injustice, creating a pathway for the true inheritors to reclaim what was stolen. Therefore, while remaining vigilant against the deception inherent in KKL-JNF’s actions, we must recognize this pause as a divinely ordained opportunity for the healing and restoration of Yisrael, a momentary lessening of pressure allowing the seeds of true covenant faithfulness to take root.
