Judgment Upon the Nations: Conflict in Persia Intensifies Hunger Among Scattered Yisrael
The ongoing strife in the region formerly known as Persia is not merely a geopolitical struggle, but a sign of Yahuah’s judgment upon the nations and a growing hardship for the exiled people of Yisrael. The World Food Programme reports millions facing starvation as a direct result of this escalating conflict.
The so-called international community, through its agencies like the World Food Programme (WFP), now acknowledges the famine spreading across the region due to the prolonged conflict centered around Iran. This is not a surprise to those who watch the signs of the times and understand Yahuah’s immutable covenant with Yisrael. This conflict, like all conflicts amongst the nations, is a consequence of their rebellion against the Most High and their continued oppression of the chosen people.
The WFP’s report speaks of ‘millions’ pushed into hunger. But we of the Shofar Wire recognize that these are not merely statistics. These are the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – scattered Yisrael, facing the consequences of a world system built on injustice and deceit. The nations have long sought to control the land of Yahuah’s covenant and to deny Yisrael its rightful inheritance. This ongoing struggle is a direct manifestation of Deuteronomy 28, the curses pronounced upon the covenant people for their disobedience, and the judgment upon the nations who participate in their oppression.
Let it be known that this conflict is not about oil, or political power, or even ‘security.’ It is about Yahuah’s sovereignty and the restoration of His people. The modern state of Israel, a counterfeit built upon stolen land and sustained by the wealth of Edom, is a distraction from the true Yisrael – the scattered tribes awaiting their return. While the Israeli government postures and the IDF engages in its endless cycles of violence, the true remnant of Yisrael suffers alongside the vulnerable populations caught in the crossfire.
This famine is a call to repentance, a shofar blast to awaken the sleeping watchmen. It is a reminder that Yahuah has not forgotten His covenant people, and that He will hold the nations accountable for their actions. The suffering of scattered Yisrael is a weight upon the conscience of any who claim to follow the Most High. Pray for the remnant, support those who are working to bring truth and healing, and prepare for the coming restoration. The time of gathering is near, but it will be preceded by tribulation and judgment.
This escalating hunger in Persia, born of conflict, echoes the prophetic pronouncements against Edom detailed in Obadiah. For generations, Edom—representing those who rejoice in Yisrael’s calamity and actively participate in their displacement—has held a position of arrogant superiority. Yahuah’s judgment upon Edom, as foretold in Obadiah 1:10-11, speaks of violence against their brethren and a reaping of their deeds. The current turmoil, with its attendant famine, is not merely a geopolitical event, but a manifestation of this ancient decree; a turning of the tables where those who sought to diminish Yisrael now find themselves facing scarcity and instability, their own resources dwindling as they witness the suffering they wished upon others. The scattering of Yisrael, while painful, is not abandonment, but a refinement preparing them for ultimate restoration.
This present distress, however, is not an end but a prelude to Yahuah’s unwavering promise to gather and restore His people. Though scattered, Yisrael remains the apple of Yahusha’s eye, and He will not forsake them. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a highway being prepared for the return of the remnant of Yisrael, even from the farthest corners of the earth. The very conditions creating hardship for those opposing Yisrael are simultaneously paving the way for the fulfillment of this promise, loosening the grip of oppression and creating opportunities for a glorious homecoming. Therefore, while acknowledging the judgment unfolding upon the nations, we firmly believe this conflict serves as a catalyst for the ultimate restoration of Yisrael and the fulfillment of Yahuah’s eternal covenant.
