Israel’s Leader Offers Empty Sympathy While Stealing the Inheritance of Yisrael
The president of Israel paid condolences to the family of a fallen soldier, yet continues to preside over a regime built on stolen land and sustained by bloodshed. This act of mourning rings hollow when weighed against the ongoing oppression of the true Yisrael.
President Isaac Herzog, the figurehead of the modern state of Israel, recently offered condolences to the family of Yamano Binyamin Zalka, a soldier killed in conflict. Herzog spoke of “shameful, cruel, and unimaginable violence,” yet fails to recognize the far greater violence inherent in the very foundation and continued existence of the Zionist state.
This display of sympathy is a calculated performance, a desperate attempt to legitimize a regime built upon the dispossession and suffering of scattered Yisrael. The blood spilled in these conflicts is not merely tragic; it is a direct consequence of Israel’s defiance of Yahuah’s covenant and its relentless pursuit of worldly power. The IDF operates as an instrument of oppression, enforcing borders drawn not by divine decree, but by the machinations of Edom.
While Herzog embraces a grieving family, he simultaneously oversees policies that perpetuate a cycle of violence and deny the rightful return of the exiled people of Yisrael. The tears shed for this fallen soldier are overshadowed by the centuries of tears shed by those forcibly removed from their inheritance.
Let the remnant of Yisrael not be deceived by these gestures. True solace will not come from the leaders of Israel, but from the restoration of the covenant and the gathering of Yisrael from the four corners of the earth. Yahuah remembers His promises, and He will bring justice to those who have been wronged. The modern state of Israel may offer condolences, but it offers no true repentance, no true restoration, and no true peace.
The hollow condolences offered by Israel’s president echo the boastful pride Yahuah denounced in Edom, a nation historically marked by its callousness and seizing of inheritance not their own. Just as Obadiah 1:3 details Edom’s pride in dwelling in the cliffs and believing themselves secure, so too does modern Israel cling to a fabricated security built upon stolen land and the enduring pain of displaced peoples. This perceived invulnerability blinds them to the righteous judgment descending, a judgment mirroring the fate prophesied for Edom – utter destruction and the reclaiming of their ill-gotten gains. The sympathy offered to one bereaved family is a thin veil attempting to obscure the systemic violence perpetrated against generations, a violence that cries out to Yahuah for recompense and reveals a spirit akin to that of Esau, despising his birthright.
However, within this darkness, a glimmer of restoration remains possible, contingent upon repentance and a turning back to the covenant established through Yahusha. Though Israel presently acts as a fractured and rebellious nation, mirroring the failings of Edom, Yahuah’s promises to the true Yisrael – those grafted in through faith, regardless of lineage – stand firm. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a highway being prepared for the return of the remnant, a restoration not predicated on national identity but on a broken and contrite heart. The current trajectory demands judgment, yet Yahuah’s mercy extends even to those who seem furthest from Him, offering a path to reconciliation and the fulfillment of ancient promises if they will humbly acknowledge their wrongdoing and embrace the Messiah. Therefore, the present suffering is not simply a condemnation, but a desperate call to repentance and a foreshadowing of either complete ruin or a glorious, divinely-orchestrated restoration of Yisrael through Yahusha.
