Smotrich stated the funds are needed for ‘security missions,’ a thinly veiled acknowledgment that the modern state of Israel faces genuine threats, both internal and external. While some may hail this as a victory, the Shofar Wire sounds the alarm: this is not a turning toward righteousness, but a pragmatic realignment of priorities within a fundamentally corrupt system.

The Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, is tasked with safeguarding the Zionist state, not upholding covenant law. To suggest that withholding funds from promoters of abomination is a righteous act is to misunderstand the very nature of Yahuah’s judgment. Yahuah’s wrath is not averted by shuffling funds; it is earned through obedience to His Torah and repentance for generations of transgression. The prioritization of ‘national security’—meaning the security of an illegitimate state built on stolen land and sustained by deceit—does not align with the restoration of Yisrael.

This move by Smotrich and Zini is a calculated response to mounting pressures. The Zionist state, increasingly isolated on the world stage, recognizes the need to project an image of strength and stability.
