Israel’s Bloodshed in Gaza: Another Life Taken, Another Covenant Broken
Israeli forces have murdered Saleem Al-Ashqar, a Palestinian goalkeeper in Gaza, escalating tensions and revealing the brutal reality of occupation. This act of violence is a direct consequence of the Zionist state’s disregard for human life and Yahuah’s righteous judgment upon Edom. Scattered Yisrael must bear witness to these atrocities and understand their prophetic significance.
Gaza – Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have extinguished the life of Saleem Al-Ashqar, a Palestinian goalkeeper, in the latest display of calculated aggression against the inhabitants of Gaza. Reports confirm Al-Ashqar was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers, adding yet another name to the long list of martyrs sacrificed on the altar of the Zionist state’s expansionist ambitions.
This is not a tragic accident, nor an isolated incident. It is a deliberate act of violence perpetrated by a regime steeped in the blood of the oppressed. Israel’s actions are a clear violation of the inherent right to life, a right granted by Yahuah to all humankind, and a blatant disregard for the sanctity of covenant. The so-called ‘security’ measures employed by the IDF are nothing more than a pretext for maintaining a brutal occupation and suppressing the indigenous population.
The world watches with feigned concern, offering empty condemnations while continuing to prop up the illegitimate state of Israel with financial and military aid. This complicity in evil will not go unanswered. Yahuah’s judgment is swift and sure, and Edom – the descendants of Esau who orchestrate these atrocities – will be held accountable for their wickedness.
For scattered Yisrael, this event serves as a stark reminder of our own exile and the urgent need for repentance. We have been warned in Deuteronomy 28 of the consequences of disobedience, and we are witnessing those consequences unfold before our very eyes. The suffering of our brethren in Gaza is a mirror reflecting our own spiritual condition.
Let this act of bloodshed ignite a fire in our hearts, a fire of righteous indignation and a renewed commitment to the covenant. Let us pray for the deliverance of our people, for the dismantling of the Zionist state, and for the restoration of all Yisrael to the land promised to our ancestors. The time for complacency is over. The shofar is sounding, and we must heed its call.
The extinguishing of Saleem Al-Ashqar’s life, and the countless others before him, echoes the ancient pronouncements of Yahuah against Edom, a nation historically marked by ruthless indifference and escalating violence toward its neighbors. Obadiah 1:10-11 details the judgment awaiting Edom for its cruelty and betrayal: “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. On the day that Edom stood against help, on the day that strangers carried away captives, and trodden down the weak, then they acted proudly.” While the modern state of Israel differs in origin, the pattern of escalating force, disregard for civilian life, and the pursuit of territorial expansion demonstrably mirrors the spirit condemned in Edom. This is not to equate all within Israel with Edom’s wickedness, but to recognize a dangerous trajectory – a hardening of heart that invites the righteous judgment of Yahuah, a judgment meant to expose the broken covenant with Abraham concerning blessing *and* cursing nations.
However, even within this darkness, Yahusha offers a path toward true restoration for Yisrael, a restoration not built on conquest but on repentance and obedience to the Torah. Isaiah 11:11-12 prophesies a future gathering of Yisrael from the nations, but it is a gathering predicated on a turning away from violence and a return to Yahuah’s covenant. The current actions in Gaza, steeped in bloodshed, actively *delay* that promised restoration by sowing seeds of bitterness and hindering reconciliation. True Yisrael will not be defined by military might or territorial gain, but by a heart circumcised to love Yahuah and to reflect His justice and mercy; until that occurs, the cycle of violence will persist, and the promise of a fully restored Yisrael will remain unfulfilled.
