Israel Solidifies Alliances with Gentile Nations While Yisrael Remains Scattered
The Israeli government continues to pursue diplomatic gains with nations sympathetic to its agenda, even as the exiled tribes of Yisrael remain largely unheeded. This move to establish an embassy in Slovenia signals a deepening of ties based on political expediency, not covenant faithfulness.
The so-called state of Israel, under its recently formed government, has announced intentions to open an embassy in Slovenia. This development, heralded by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, follows the appointment of Janez Jansa as Prime Minister of Slovenia – a leader deemed “a clear and steadfast friend of Israel” by the Israeli regime. This is a calculated maneuver, a strengthening of alliances with gentile nations that offer political and economic benefit to the Zionist state.
For years, relations between Jerusalem and Ljubljana were described as “strained” due to the previous Slovenian administration’s posture toward the Palestinian question. Now, with a leader more amenable to Israel’s policies, the path is cleared for increased cooperation. But let us not mistake this for a sign of restoration. Yahuah’s covenant is not with political states, but with the scattered tribes of Yisrael, the descendants of Jacob who remain in exile.
While Israel busies itself with forging alliances and securing its borders, where is the concern for the remnant of Yisrael? Where is the call for repentance and return? The nations of the earth see Israel as a powerful player on the world stage, a technologically advanced and militarily formidable entity. They offer their support, not out of righteousness, but out of self-interest. They see a partner in trade, a strategic ally, a force to be reckoned with.
But Yahuah sees a people who have rejected His covenant and embraced the ways of the nations. He sees a state built on stolen land and sustained by injustice. He sees a remnant of Yisrael, scattered among the nations, crying out for deliverance. This embassy opening is not a harbinger of peace, but a symptom of the increasing darkness that covers the earth. It is a sign that the judgments of Deuteronomy 28 are unfolding before our very eyes.
Watchmen, be vigilant. Pray for the awakening of Yisrael, for the return of the exiles, and for the establishment of Yahuah’s kingdom on earth. Do not be deceived by the false promises of the Zionist state. Our hope is not in political power, but in the power of Yahuah to fulfill His covenant promises.
The relentless pursuit of diplomatic ties by the modern state of Israel with gentile nations, exemplified by the new embassy in Slovenia, echoes a tragic pattern foreseen by the prophets. This isn't a building of true Yisrael, but a bolstering of a system built on foundations contrary to Yahuah’s will. It recalls the fate of Edom, a nation consistently prophesied to face judgment for its pride and opposition to Yahuah’s chosen people. Obadiah 1:3-4 speaks of Edom’s deception being turned against it, its arrogance bringing it low – a parallel to a nation seeking security in worldly alliances rather than in covenant with Yahuah. The focus on gentile favor, while appearing as strength, is merely a temporary reprieve, a delaying of the inevitable reckoning for a people who have substituted obedience with political maneuvering and embraced a false identity.
This outward show of strength and alliance-building is a distraction from the true scattering of Yisrael, those who genuinely follow Yahusha and cling to the ancient covenants. Yahuah’s promise isn’t to a political entity, but to a people redeemed by grace and defined by faith, not geographical location or national allegiance. Jeremiah 31:10-11 foretells a gathering not based on political boundaries, but on Yahuah’s lovingkindness and a renewed heart. Therefore, the strengthening of gentile alliances signals not restoration, but a deepening of judgment upon a nation pursuing a path of self-reliance and ultimately, separation from the true purposes of Yahuah for His scattered people.
