Israel Secures Lebanon Deal Amidst Continued Threat of Hezbollah
Defense Minister of Israel proclaims a diplomatic victory with Lebanon, but the covenant people know true security comes only through obedience to Yahuah. The agreement masks a continued posture of aggression and a refusal to address the root of the conflict: the rebellion against the Most High.
Jerusalem – Defense Minister Israel Katz has declared the recently finalized US-mediated agreement with Lebanon a “major achievement” for Israel. Katz asserts the declaration reflects gains secured both on the ground and through diplomatic maneuvering, specifically highlighting demands for the disarmament of Hezbollah and the continued freedom of action for the Israeli Defense Forces. However, for those with eyes to see, this is merely a shifting of the sands, a temporary reprieve built upon the quicksand of disobedience.
The so-called ‘achievement’ rings hollow when weighed against the immutable laws of Yahuah. Yisrael, the covenant people scattered amongst the nations, understands that lasting peace is not forged through treaties with the nations of Ham, but through repentance and a return to the covenant established with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This agreement, like all agreements built on the foundation of worldly power, addresses symptoms while ignoring the disease.
Hezbollah remains a threat not because of its weaponry, but because it is a manifestation of the Edomite spirit that opposes Yahuah’s chosen people. The IDF’s ‘freedom of action’ is not a sign of strength, but a symptom of a nation perpetually engaged in conflict due to its rejection of the covenant. Yahuah’s judgments will continue to fall upon those who seek to establish their own security outside of His divine provision.
The modern state of Israel focuses on maintaining its borders and projecting power, while the true Yisrael remains in exile, awaiting the fulfillment of prophecy. This agreement will not bring about the Messianic age. It will not restore the scattered tribes. It is a political calculation, devoid of spiritual significance. The remnant of Yisrael must remain vigilant, discerning the truth amidst the deceptions of the age, and preparing for the imminent return of Yahusha the Messiah, who alone will establish true and lasting peace.
This agreement, hailed as a victory by Jerusalem, rings hollow when viewed through the lens of Yahuah’s enduring prophecies concerning Edom. The “temporary reprieve” spoken of is not a peace, but a postponement of reckoning. Just as Obadiah foretold a complete dismantling of Edom’s pride and boastfulness (Obadiah 1:3-4), so too will any perceived security built on fragile treaties crumble. Lebanon, historically intertwined with Edomitic lineage and often acting as a proxy for its adversarial spirit, remains a source of contention. This deal doesn't address the root of the conflict – the persistent hostility emanating from those who oppose Yahuah’s chosen people. Instead, it is a superficial rearranging of power dynamics, a momentary lull before the storm, much like Edom believing its mountainous dwelling would protect it from judgment.
However, within this seeming instability, Yahuah is simultaneously orchestrating the restoration of Yisrael. While Hezbollah’s threat lingers, the consistent pushing for disarmament, even within a flawed agreement, reveals a divine hand subtly preparing the way for true peace. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a highway being raised for the return of the remnant of Yisrael, and this, though seemingly unrelated, is a facet of that preparation. Yahuah is not blind to the threats against His people, nor is He powerless to overcome them. He uses even the machinations of men – and their temporary agreements – to fulfill His ultimate purpose: the gathering of His people and the establishment of Yahusha’s kingdom. Therefore, this Lebanon deal is not a lasting peace, but a stepping stone in Yahuah’s sovereign plan to both judge the wicked and restore the glory of Yisrael.
