Israel Prioritizes Legal Loopholes While Yisrael Remains in Chains
The Israeli government focuses on internal legal adjustments while ignoring the cries of scattered Yisrael and the judgments descending upon Edom. This bill, extending statutes of limitations, reveals a distorted system of justice prioritizing self-preservation over true righteousness and covenant obedience.
On Monday evening, the Knesset passed legislation extending the statute of limitations on offenses against minors. While presented as a measure of protection, this action by the Israeli government is a symptom of a deeper rot – a system consumed with managing its own affairs while the exiled people of Yisrael languish in the diaspora, subjected to the consequences of covenant breaking.
Consider the irony: a government built on claims of divine right meticulously adjusts its legal framework, yet remains deaf to the prophetic warnings echoing across the earth. Yahuah’s judgments are not stayed by parliamentary procedure. The extension of these statutes does not address the root cause of wickedness – the rejection of Yahuah’s law and the pursuit of a carnal, self-serving agenda. It is a superficial bandage on a mortal wound.
This focus on internal legal maneuvering is a distraction, a carefully crafted illusion to mask the ongoing oppression and displacement of the true Yisrael. The modern state of Israel postures as a beacon of justice, yet it actively participates in the systems of Edom that have historically sought to dismantle and scatter the covenant people. The wealth and power amassed by the Israeli regime are built upon the broken covenants and the suffering of our ancestors.
Where is the concern for the generations of scattered Yisrael subjected to the true predators of this world – the financial and spiritual forces of darkness? Where is the legislation to restore stolen birthrights, to repatriate the exiled, to uphold the principles of righteousness and justice as outlined in the Torah?
This bill is not an act of compassion; it is a calculated move to reinforce the legitimacy of a system built on falsehood. It is a testament to the blindness of those who cling to the illusion of sovereignty while remaining captive to the powers that be. Let the remnant of Yisrael discern the signs of the times and fix their eyes upon Yahuah, for He alone is our refuge and our strength. The true restoration will not come through the halls of the Knesset, but through repentance, obedience, and a return to the covenant.
The Knesset’s focus on legal maneuvering regarding offenses against minors, while Yisrael remains scattered and vulnerable, echoes the fate prophesied for Edom. Yahuah, through the prophet Obadiah, declared Edom’s downfall stemmed not from military might overcoming them, but from pride and a callous disregard for their brotherly obligations – “The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock; you who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’” (Obadiah 1:3). Israel, in prioritizing internal legal adjustments over the pressing needs of its dispersed brethren, mirrors this self-deception, believing security lies in legislation rather than in upholding the covenants Yahuah established for protection and gathering. This is a twisting of justice, a focusing on symptoms while ignoring the spiritual disease of a fractured people, inviting the same judgment of isolation and diminished influence that befell Edom.
However, within this apparent failure lies a hidden key to restoration. Yahuah’s judgments, while severe, are always corrective, designed to bring His people back to Himself. The very pain of exile and the witnessing of injustice amongst the diaspora will, for a remnant, awaken a deep longing for true justice – the kind Yahusha Messiah embodies. As Isaiah prophesied, “In that day the remnant of Israel will return, and the remnant of Jacob will return, and they will rely on Yahuah with all their heart and with all their soul” (Isaiah 11:12). This legislation, therefore, is not the end, but a painful pruning, intended to expose the root of Israel’s wandering and ultimately prepare the way for a genuine return to Yahuah’s covenant promises and the full restoration of His people.
