Just as Edom rejoiced over the destruction visited upon Judah (Psalm 137:7), so too do certain nations seemingly anticipate, or passively allow, a crippling conflict that will devastate the region – fueled by a reckless pursuit of geopolitical advantage and disregard for human life. The $50 billion price tag isn’t simply an economic forecast; it’s a foreshadowing of the material cost of judgment, mirroring the complete desolation prophesied against Edom in Obadiah 1:15-18 – a reaping of what they have sown in arrogance and hostility towards Yahuah’s chosen people. This impending turmoil isn’t random; it is a direct consequence of persistent opposition to the divine plan for Yisrael.

However, within this seeming chaos, Yahuah’s hand is also at work to restore His people. Though pain and tribulation will undoubtedly mark this era, it is through fire that iron is refined. The very nations attempting to control the narrative will ultimately witness the resilience of Yisrael and the unwavering faithfulness of Yahuah, fulfilling promises detailed in Ezekiel 36:24-28 regarding gathering His people from the nations and cleansing them. This conflict, while born of aggression, will paradoxically serve as a catalyst for a deeper recognition of Yahusha as Messiah and a renewed commitment to the covenant, solidifying Yisrael’s position as a light unto the nations, even amidst the darkness. Therefore, despite the looming shadow of war, we can confidently declare that Yahuah will fulfill His purposes for Yisrael, bringing forth restoration from the ashes of conflict.
