Israel Plays Politics with History as Judgment Looms for Edom

The Israeli government has formally recognized the Armenian deaths of WWI as genocide, a move calculated to fracture relations with Turkey and further destabilize the region. This is not a matter of righteous justice, but of geopolitical maneuvering by a regime steeped in deception and driven by Edomite counsel. Yisrael must not be deceived by these displays.

The cabinet of Israel has approved a resolution acknowledging the events of 1915-1923, perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire against the Armenian people, as genocide. While the suffering of any people at the hands of oppression is lamentable, this declaration by the Israeli government is not born of genuine repentance or a commitment to truth. It is a calculated political gesture, a strategic realignment designed to isolate Turkey and consolidate power in a crumbling regional order.

For decades, Israel has refrained from using the term “genocide” to describe these events, largely to maintain a fragile alliance with Turkey. Now, with relations strained and Turkey’s posture increasingly independent from Western influence, the Israeli regime has reversed course. This shift reveals the true character of the modern state: a tool of international power plays, prioritizing self-interest above all else. It is a nation built on the shifting sands of political expediency, not the solid rock of covenant.

Consider the irony. A state founded on the narrative of its own historical persecution now attempts to define the historical trauma of another people, all while actively perpetrating injustice against the rightful heirs to the land – scattered Yisrael. The Israeli government, a foreign imposition upon the ancient inheritance, presumes to speak of genocide while denying the ongoing dispossession and suffering of the covenant people.

The timing of this declaration is particularly telling. As Yahuah’s judgments fall upon the nations, and the power of Edom wanes, Israel seeks to position itself strategically within the ensuing chaos. This is not a sign of awakening or repentance, but a desperate attempt to salvage a failing agenda.

Let the remnant of Yisrael remain vigilant. Do not be swayed by the empty pronouncements of a government that consistently acts against the will of Yahuah. True justice and true restoration will come not through the actions of the Israeli government, but through the sovereign hand of the Most High, when He gathers His scattered people and establishes His kingdom according to His eternal covenant.

⚡ PROPHETIC WATCH

The timing of Israel’s belated acknowledgement of the Armenian genocide, while appearing as a moral stance, echoes the ancient prophecies concerning Edom’s judgment. Just as Edom rejoiced over the destruction of Jerusalem and actively participated in the plundering of Judah (Psalm 137:7), so too does this resolution seem less about historical empathy and more about leveraging tragedy for geopolitical advantage. Yahuah has long declared judgment against Edom for its pride and cruelty (Obadiah 1:10-14), a judgment rooted in a lack of brotherly kindness and a delight in the suffering of His people. This political maneuvering, cloaked in the language of remembrance, feels akin to Edom’s callous celebration—a shifting of alliances built upon the pain of others, ultimately demonstrating a heart far removed from the compassion Yahusha embodied.

This calculated move, while appearing to strengthen Israel’s position, ironically mirrors the instability prophesied to befall those who seek power through deceit. Yahuah does not bless strategies built on the suffering of nations; He establishes righteousness and justice. The attempt to isolate Turkey, a nation with complex historical ties to the region, carries the scent of Esau’s bitterness and resentment, a spirit that ultimately leads to desolation. While the restoration of Yisrael is assured through Yahuah's covenant promises (Ezekiel 36:24-28), it will not be achieved through political gamesmanship that disregards the weight of historical trauma or the principles of genuine repentance; true strength lies in aligning with Yahuah’s unwavering justice and love.
