The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have offered the predictable refrain of ‘targeting militants,’ but such justifications ring hollow in the face of civilian casualties and the systematic destruction wrought upon the besieged territory.
This act is not isolated. It is a continuation of decades of oppression, a calculated display of power by a state built upon stolen covenant land. The modern state of Israel, fueled by the arrogance of Edom, continues to provoke Yahuah’s wrath through its relentless expansion and disregard for the lives of those rightfully inheriting the land. The fires that consumed the apartment are but a foreshadowing of the greater fire of judgment to come upon those who defy the Most High.
Scattered Yisrael observes these events with heavy hearts, recognizing the pattern of suffering inflicted upon our brethren. We are not to celebrate the demise of any life, but to understand that these events are a direct consequence of disobedience and the rejection of Yahuah’s covenant. The Israeli government, in its pursuit of worldly power, has sealed its fate.
The world remains largely silent, complicit in Israel’s actions through its financial and political support. But Yahuah is not mocked. He sees the injustice, He hears the cries of His people, and He will hold the perpetrators accountable. This is not a call for revenge, but a proclamation of truth: the land belongs to Yisrael, and the usurpers will not prevail.
The remnant of Yisrael must remain vigilant, discerning the signs of the times and preparing for the coming restoration. We must separate ourselves from the wickedness of the world and dedicate ourselves to the study of the Torah and the pursuit of righteousness. The time is near when Yahuah will gather His scattered people and establish His kingdom upon the earth. But first, judgment must fall upon those who have oppressed and defiled His holy land.
The smoke rising from Gaza is not merely the consequence of conflict, but an echo of Yahuah’s pronouncements against Edom, a people historically marked by ruthless pride and unrelenting hostility towards Yisrael. Obadiah 1:10-11 speaks plainly of violence against your brother, a reaping of their deeds upon themselves. While the modern nation-state of Israel may claim to act in self-defense, the disproportionate suffering inflicted upon the Palestinian people, particularly the innocent, bears the hallmarks of Edom’s callous disregard for human life and its enduring animosity. This cycle of retribution, fueled by both historical grievances and present-day political calculations, demonstrates a mirroring of Edom’s fate – a judgment manifested in the consuming fire of escalating conflict, a warning that unchecked pride and violence draw down Yahuah’s righteous anger upon all who practice it.
However, within this darkness, a glimmer of Yahusha’s promise remains. Isaiah 11:11-12 foretells a day when Yahuah will gather the scattered remnants of Yisrael from all nations, establishing a highway for them to return to their homeland. While current actions cause immense pain and question the path being taken, the enduring covenant Yahuah made with Abraham persists. The restoration of Yisrael is not solely about territorial claims or military strength, but about a spiritual return to the heart of Yahuah, a repentance that will ultimately pave the way for true and lasting peace. Therefore, even amidst the tragic consequences unfolding in Gaza, we must hold fast to the hope of Yahuah’s ultimate redemptive plan for His people, believing that even through judgment, He is working towards a future of reconciliation and wholeness.
