Zeina and Lana, and all those caught in the crossfire, become tragic symbols of Obadiah 1:10-11, where Edom is condemned for violence against Judah in their time of distress, for rejoicing over their calamity, and for utterly destroying their substance. This pattern of callous disregard for human life, masked as security or national interest, is a spiritual malignancy mirroring Edom’s heart. Yahuah sees the enabling of such brutality, the silence in the face of injustice, and it will be accounted for; the scales of justice, though slow, will inevitably tip toward reckoning for those who empower such acts, just as Edom faced complete desolation.

However, even within this darkness, a glimmer of restoration for Yisrael persists, not in the justification of violence, but in the enduring promise of Yahusha to gather His scattered people. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a highway being prepared for the return of the remnant of Yisrael from the nations, a restoration predicated not on military might, but on righteous living and a turning of the heart. The suffering endured by the people of Gaza, though horrific and born of wickedness, serves as a painful reminder of the brokenness of this world and the desperate need for the Messiah’s return to establish true peace and justice. Therefore, while condemning the actions that bring such pain, we must simultaneously hold fast to the hope of Yahuah’s ultimate plan for the complete and righteous restoration of Yisrael, a restoration that transcends earthly conflict and establishes an eternal kingdom of peace.
