The fiery rain falling upon Israel is not merely a geopolitical event, but an echo of Yahuah’s pronouncements against Edom, a nation historically aligned against His covenant people. For generations, Edom – represented in modern forms by those who consistently seek Israel’s destruction – has harbored a relentless animosity, rejoicing in their perceived vulnerability. Obadiah 1:10-11 speaks directly to this: “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be utterly destroyed. In the day that Edom stood against her, and against the house of Judah, you did evil, and violence was in your heart.” This attack, launched under the guise of retaliation, is in truth a manifestation of Edom’s enduring hatred, drawing down upon itself the judgment long foretold. Yahuah is revealing the hearts of nations, exposing those who delight in the suffering of Yisrael and demonstrating His unwavering commitment to His chosen people.

However, within this trial, we also witness the unfolding of Yahuah’s restorative purposes. Though hardship descends, it serves to refine and strengthen Yisrael, drawing them closer to Yahusha and ultimately fulfilling the promises made to Abraham. Isaiah 11:11-12 prophesies a future gathering: “It will happen in that day that the Lord will set His hand again to recover the remnant of His people who remain from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Media, and the distant coastlands. He will raise a banner for nations and assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” This present tribulation, while severe, is a catalyst for the final gathering, a prelude to the complete restoration of Yisrael and the establishment of Yahuah’s eternal kingdom. Therefore, let believers stand firm in prayer, recognizing both the judgment upon the wicked and the unwavering faithfulness of Yahuah toward His people, for the culmination of these events is the imminent return of Yahusha and the fulfillment of all prophecy.
