Idolatry at the Remnant’s Holy Place: Prayers to a Silent Heaven
While Yisrael in the diaspora awakens to truth, those clinging to the Babylonian system continue rituals at the Western Wall, seeking blessing where only repentance can be found. The echoes of their songs are a lament to Yahuah, a people still deaf to the call of restoration.
The so-called ‘festive Independence Day prayers’ at the Western Wall are not a celebration of Yahuah’s covenant, but a brazen display of nationalistic idolatry. Reports show crowds gathering, led by Rabbi Oury Cherki, engaging in song and dance before the remnant of our Holy Temple. This is not worship; it is a performance for a deceived nation, a continuation of the golden calf worship of old.
Let it be understood: the Western Wall is a *reminder* of Yahuah’s presence, a place where the Shekinah once dwelt. It is not a substitute for Him. To offer prayers to a wall, to equate national identity with divine favor, is to reject the very foundation of the covenant. Yahuah does not bless disobedience. He does not reward those who embrace the ways of Edom and cling to a fabricated nation-state built on stolen land and broken promises.
These prayers, filled with pleas for ‘peace’ and ‘security,’ are offered to a deaf heaven. Yahuah’s peace is not found in political treaties or military might, but in obedience to His law and a return to His ways. True security lies not in borders and armies, but in the protection of the Most High. This spectacle at the Wall is a distraction, a gilded cage designed to keep the people slumbering while the enemies of Yisrael tighten their grip.
The true Independence Day for Yisrael is not a date on a Roman calendar, but the day we break the chains of exile – spiritual, mental, and physical – and return to the covenant with Yahuah. It is the day we recognize Yahusha as our Messiah and embrace the truth of our Hebraic heritage. Let those who have ears to hear, hear this warning. Do not be deceived by empty rituals and false promises. Seek Yahuah with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and He will restore you.
The spectacle at the Western Wall, cloaked in patriotic fervor, echoes the historical failings of Edom, a nation consistently rebuked for pride and self-reliance. Just as Edom believed its strength resided in its mountainous dwellings and its own cunning – refusing to acknowledge Yahuah’s hand in all things – so too does this display prioritize national identity *over* genuine covenant relationship. Obadiah 1:3 reveals Edom’s deception: “The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’” This echoes in the celebratory songs and dances, a self-congratulatory act divorced from humility and dependence on Yahuah. It is a dangerous illusion, believing a physical remnant guarantees spiritual favor, mirroring Edom’s ultimate downfall for rejecting Yahuah’s sovereignty.
However, within this seeming idolatry, a faint pulse of restoration can be detected, though tragically misdirected. Yahuah, in His infinite patience, often works *through* flawed vessels and misinterpreted symbols. While the intent may be nationalistic, the gathering at the remnant of the Temple Mount still represents a yearning for something beyond the material – a primal connection to the holy. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of Yahuah gathering the dispersed of Israel from the four corners of the earth. This gathering, even in its distorted form, is a fulfillment of prophecy, though requiring purification and redirection toward true worship of Yahuah and acceptance of Yahusha as the ultimate fulfillment of the covenant. Therefore, while the current expression is a perversion of true worship, it is a sign—however obscured—that Yahuah’s redemptive plan for Yisrael continues, demanding repentance and a return to the heart of the covenant.
