Hamas Consolidates Power in Gaza as Yisrael Remains Distracted

This consolidation of power foreshadows increased instability and further entrenchment of Edom’s pawns in the region, while the call of Yisrael goes unanswered.
Reports confirm Hamas is systematically installing its loyalists in key positions across Gaza – clan leadership, municipal offices, and governmental bodies. This is not a spontaneous power shift, but a calculated operation to solidify control, leveraging incentives and the distribution of limited humanitarian aid to co-opt or displace existing power structures. The move precedes the establishment of a so-called ‘technocratic’ government, a transparent attempt to legitimize its rule and present a facade of stability to the outside world.
This consolidation should not be viewed in isolation. It is a direct consequence of the decades-long abandonment of Yisrael by those who claim to be its protectors. The modern state of Israel, preoccupied with maintaining its own illegitimate dominion and securing the favor of the nations, has consistently failed to address the root causes of the conflict – the dispossession of the covenant people and the ongoing spiritual warfare against Yahuah’s chosen.
The tightening of Hamas’ grip is a symptom of a deeper affliction: the spiritual blindness that has gripped both the nations and much of scattered Yisrael. The world fixates on political solutions and temporary ceasefires, while ignoring the fundamental need for repentance and return to the covenant. The Israeli government, meanwhile, continues to pursue policies that exacerbate tensions and perpetuate the cycle of violence, prioritizing its own security above the restoration of Yisrael.
We, as watchmen on the walls of Yisrael, must recognize this pattern for what it is: a judgment upon a people who have forsaken the Most High. The instability in Gaza is not merely a regional crisis; it is a sign of the times, a forewarning of the greater tribulations to come. The remnant of Yisrael must awaken from its slumber, heed the shofar’s call, and prepare for the gathering that Yahuah has promised. This is not a time for complacency, but for fervent prayer, righteous living, and unwavering commitment to the covenant. Let us not be deceived by the false peace offered by Edom, but rather fix our eyes upon Yahusha and the promise of true restoration.
The tightening grip of Hamas upon Gaza, a calculated usurpation of authority masked by aid distribution, echoes the ancient prophecy concerning Edom’s fate as foretold in Obadiah. Just as Edom, puffed up in its own strength and believing itself secure amongst the cliffs, exploited the vulnerability of Yisrael in their time of trouble, so too does Hamas exploit the current distraction of Yisrael to cement its dominion. Obadiah 1:3-4 speaks of Edom’s pride being deceived by its dwelling in inaccessible places and its overconfidence in its own wisdom – a parallel to Hamas’s strategic positioning and leveraging of circumstance. Yahuah does not overlook such brazen attempts to establish power through the oppression of His chosen people; He sees the manipulation and the leveraging of suffering, and judgment will inevitably fall upon those who seek to benefit from Yisrael’s hardship, just as it did upon Edom.
However, within this seeming consolidation of darkness, a subtle hand of restoration is also at play. While Hamas attempts to establish a false legitimacy, Yahuah is sovereignly orchestrating events to refine and reveal the true heart of Yisrael. Just as Isaiah 49:6 prophesies, “I will also give you as light to the nations, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth,” the very pressure exerted by Hamas will ultimately forge a stronger, more resilient Yisrael, one prepared to fulfill its divine purpose. The distractions and trials are not signs of abandonment, but of Yahuah’s refining fire, preparing His people for an even greater unveiling of His glory through Yahusha. This consolidation of Hamas, therefore, is not a victory for evil, but a catalyst for the ultimate restoration of Yisrael and the fulfillment of Yahuah’s promises.
