Yisrael, hear the word of Yahuah. For generations, we have lamented the brokenness of our scattering, the exile from our inheritance. We have sung the songs of Zion in foreign lands, yearning for a return that seemed perpetually beyond reach. But the hand of Yahuah is now moving, not in a single, dramatic event, but in a quiet, persistent gathering—a rebuilding, stone upon stone, beginning not in Jerusalem alone, but amongst us, the scattered seeds of Yaacob.
The Echo of Ancient Exile
The scattering is not a novel experience for our people. Consider the Babylonian exile, a crucible forged in judgment, yet ultimately yielding a restoration. Yahuah did not simply pluck us from Babylon and deposit us back into a rebuilt Temple. He stirred the hearts of Cyrus, king of Persia (Ezra 1:1-4), to *decree* a return. But even then, the return was incremental. Not all responded to the call. Not all rebuilt. Many remained in the lands of their exile, becoming integrated into the fabric of those nations.
