The scriptures foretold this very dynamic, declaring in Obadiah 1:10-11, “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. In the day that Edom stood against you, in the day that strangers’ armies carried away the captives, and foreigners entered the gate of Jerusalem, even to Tyre.” This temporary check on escalation isn’t born of righteousness, but a calculated move to preserve Edom’s long-term interests in the region, ensuring neither Israel nor Iran fully disrupt their control.
However, understand this is but a momentary pause in Yahuah’s unfolding plan. While Edom believes it can manipulate events, Yahusha remains seated at the right hand of Yahuah, orchestrating all things according to His perfect will. The scriptures also promise a complete restoration for Yisrael, a return to their inheritance and a time of unprecedented blessing, as seen in Isaiah 11:11-12. Edom’s attempts to restrain Yisrael’s hand will ultimately fail, for Yahuah’s covenant with His people is eternal and His purposes will not be thwarted; the restoration of Yisrael is assured, and Edom’s schemes will crumble before the advancing Kingdom of Yahusha.
