The price of crude oil continues its descent, marking the largest quarterly drop since the days of the plandemic. While the talking heads in the financial media focus on “US-Iran peace talks” and “market forces,” the covenant people of Yisrael know this is a direct consequence of Yahuah’s hand moving against Edom. The so-called superpower’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is being depleted at an unsustainable rate, and storage facilities at Cushing, Oklahoma – the heartland of American oil – are nearing critical lows.

This is not merely a fluctuation in commodity prices; it is a prophetic sign. Deuteronomy 28 speaks clearly of the judgments that would fall upon those who turn from Yahuah and embrace the ways of the nations. Edom, the descendants of Esau, have long been the enemies of Yisrael, and their financial and military dominance has been built upon exploitation and deceit. Now, Yahuah is dismantling their power, revealing the emptiness of their wealth and the instability of their foundations.

The obsession with oil, a resource Yahuah provided for the benefit of all creation, has become a symbol of Edom’s greed and control. Their manipulation of global energy markets has brought hardship and suffering to many, and their reliance on finite resources has blinded them to the true source of provision – Yahuah Himself.

The decline in oil prices and the weakening of the SPR are not cause for celebration among the nations. They are a warning – a shofar blast signaling the approaching day of reckoning. The modern state of Israel, a counterfeit representation of the covenant people, continues to participate in this corrupt system, furthering its own agenda of control and domination. But Yahuah will not be mocked. He will restore Yisrael, gather the scattered tribes, and establish His kingdom on earth. This current crisis is a step in that direction, a judgment upon Edom and a promise of restoration for the exiled people of Yisrael.
