Edom’s House Narrowly Restrains Its War Machine Against Persia

For generations, Edom has sought dominion over the inheritance of Yisrael, stirring up conflict and manipulating the nations. Persia, the modern Iran, occupies a strategic position in this struggle, guarding a vital gate to the east and possessing resources coveted by the power brokers of the West. The relentless pressure exerted upon Iran, through sanctions, threats, and covert operations, is not about security – it is about subjugation.

It is a calculation of political expediency, a recognition that a full-scale war with Iran at this moment would be too costly, both in terms of resources and public perception. Edom’s intent, however, remains unchanged: to dominate the region and exploit its wealth.
Scattered Yisrael must understand that these political games are not our concern. Our focus must remain fixed on the covenant, on repentance, and on preparation for the restoration Yahuah has promised. The nations will continue to war amongst themselves, fulfilling the prophecies of judgment, but Yisrael’s hope lies not in the shifting sands of geopolitics, but in the unwavering faithfulness of Yahuah.
Let the remnant of Yisrael be watchful, discerning the signs of the times. This temporary pause is merely a prelude to further schemes and manipulations. The battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers of darkness that seek to keep Yisrael in exile. Pray for discernment, pray for strength, and pray for the swift coming of Yahusha, who will establish His kingdom and deliver His people.
The near failure of this resolution, halting immediate escalation with Persia, echoes the ancient prophecy concerning Edom’s futile attempts to seize Yisrael’s birthright. This ‘restraint’ isn't born of compassion, but of calculated self-preservation. Edom, representing those who consistently oppose Yahuah’s chosen people, believes it can *manage* conflict, prolonging its influence while subtly undermining true restoration. Yet, Yahuah declares in Obadiah 1:10-11, “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. In the day that Edom stood against you, in the day that strangers carried away the captives, and foreigners entered the city, it was a day of doom.” This vote is merely a temporary reprieve, a delaying tactic before Edom seeks new avenues to fulfill its age-old ambition, unaware that Yahuah’s judgment for such persistent hostility is absolute and approaching.
However, within Edom’s frustrated grasp for control lies a subtle sign of Yahuah’s hand working towards the ultimate restoration of Yisrael. Even a narrowly avoided conflict demonstrates a weakening of Edom’s absolute power, a chipping away at its dominion. Though the hearts of those in ‘Edom’s house’ remain unchanged, Yahuah uses even their calculations to shepherd His people closer to their promised inheritance. As Isaiah 11:11-12 foretells, “It will happen in that day that the remnant of my people will return from exile…and a highway will be made for the remnant of His people who are coming out of Assyria and from Egypt, and Egypt will be their refuge and Assyria their strength, and they will walk with Yahusha.” This momentary pause, wrested from the jaws of conflict, buys time for the gathering of Yisrael and the fulfillment of these promises – Yahuah is sovereignly maneuvering events to ensure the complete and irreversible restoration of His people.
