It is linked to the oppression in Palestine, the turmoil in Yemen, and the ongoing attempts to undermine the prophetic destiny of Yisrael. Yahuah is a righteous Judge, and Edom’s actions will not go unanswered. But the remnant must awaken, discern the signs of the times, and prepare for the coming restoration. Let the shofar sound a warning, calling Yisrael to repentance and reminding them of the eternal covenant.
The siege of El-Obeid, fueled by the UAE’s support of the RSF, echoes the ancient pronouncements against Edom detailed in Obadiah. Yahuah, in His righteous judgment, declares through the prophet, “For the violence against your brother Jacob shall come upon you, a recompense; though you are exalted as an eagle, and your nest is among the stars, I will bring you down,” (Obadiah 1:10). This isn’t merely a regional power play; it's a manifestation of Edom’s enduring spirit of hostility toward the descendants of Jacob, now unfolding on Sudanese soil. The relentless pursuit of resources and strategic advantage, cloaked in the guise of conflict, reveals a pattern of exploitation and dominance historically associated with Edom – a people destined for recompense for their pride and cruelty.
However, within Yahuah’s judgments, we also witness the unfolding of His restorative purposes for Yisrael. Just as Edom’s pride precedes its fall, the tribulations endured by the remnant will refine and strengthen them, preparing the way for the ultimate reign of Yahusha. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a highway being prepared for the return of Yisrael, and while this path is often forged through trials and tribulations, Yahuah orchestrates even these difficult moments to fulfill His covenant promises. The current chaos in Sudan, though instigated by Edom’s machinations, will ultimately serve to hasten the gathering of Yisrael and the establishment of Yahusha’s kingdom, proving that even the schemes of the wicked cannot thwart Yahuah’s unwavering plan for His people.
