Obadiah 1:3-4 speaks of Edom’s deception and ultimate downfall, declaring their heart has been lifted up in pride, causing them to dwell in the clefts of the rock, believing their dwelling is impregnable. This insistence on self-defined “equity,” masking a rejection of Yahuah’s justice and a perversion of His order, is the very arrogance Edom displayed of old. The imposition of DEI programming is a modern echo of their attempt to build a kingdom separate from Yahuah’s covenant, a futile effort destined for judgment as surely as their ancestors faced destruction.
This display of defiance, however, is not the final chapter. While Yahuah judges the proud, He simultaneously prepares the way for the restoration of Yisrael. The fracturing of Edom’s foundations, caused by its internal contradictions and rejection of truth, creates space for the true inheritors of the covenant to rise. Isaiah 11:11-12 foretells a time when Yahuah will gather His scattered people from the nations, even from Edom’s territory, and establish a new covenant with them. The chaos sown by these “equity rules” is a precursor to a great shaking, a dismantling of false structures that will ultimately pave the path for Yahusha to establish His righteous kingdom and restore the nation of Yisrael to its rightful place. Therefore, understand this: the rebellion in Edom is not a sign of its strength, but a clear indication of its impending judgment and the accelerating promise of Yisrael’s restoration.
