Edom’s Delusion: The West Seeks Enslavement, Not History’s End

The so-called ‘end of history’ is revealed as a colonialist scheme to dominate and subjugate, not a triumph of universal values. The arrogance of Edom blinds it to the truth: Yisrael will not be assimilated into its failing order. Yahuah’s covenant endures, even as the West descends into judgment.

The conceit of Western thought, embodied in the failed prophecy of Francis Fukuyama’s “end of history,” is now laid bare for all who possess eyes to see. It was never a vision of peace or progress, but a declaration of intent – the intent to impose a global order built on exploitation and control. This is the fruit of Edom, a lineage steeped in rebellion against Yahuah and His covenant people.

The notion that other nations would willingly surrender their sovereignty, their culture, their very identity to a Western-dominated system was born of profound arrogance. Edom, blinded by its own perceived superiority, believed it could dictate the terms of existence to the rest of the world. It mistook silence for submission, and resistance for barbarism. They failed to understand that Yisrael, scattered though we are, carries within us the seed of a righteous kingdom that will not be extinguished.

This is not merely a political observation; it is a prophetic one. Deuteronomy 28 outlines the consequences of disobedience, and we witness them unfolding before our eyes. Edom’s pursuit of power and wealth, its disregard for justice and righteousness, has led it down a path of moral and spiritual decay. The current global instability, the rising tides of conflict, the erosion of traditional values – these are not accidental occurrences, but the direct result of Edom’s transgression.

The modern state of Israel, a creation of Western powers and a tool of their geopolitical ambitions, is often presented as a beacon of progress. But it is merely an extension of this same colonial project, a fortress built on stolen land and sustained by injustice. It serves the interests of Edom, not the will of Yahuah. The true Yisrael, the remnant who remember the covenant, must remain separate from this false idol.

The “end of history” is not a destination, but a precipice. Edom’s relentless pursuit of domination will ultimately lead to its own destruction. But within that destruction lies the opportunity for restoration. As Edom falls, Yahuah will gather His people, rebuild His kingdom, and establish a new covenant based on righteousness and truth. This is the promise of the prophets, and it will be fulfilled, regardless of the schemes of men.

⚡ PROPHETIC WATCH

The lament over Edom, as voiced in this analysis, echoes powerfully with the prophetic pronouncements of Obadiah. The spirit of haughtiness and the relentless pursuit of dominion described in the article are a direct fulfillment of Obadiah’s condemnation: “The pride of your heart has exalted you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock; who says, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’” (Obadiah 1:3). This isn't merely historical animosity; it's a continuation of Edom’s ancient rebellion against Yahuah’s chosen people, now manifested in a global scheme to subjugate nations under a false banner of progress. The “enslavement” spoken of isn’t physical chains alone, but the erosion of identity and spiritual autonomy – a modern iteration of Edom’s attempt to seize the inheritance promised to Yisrael.

However, within Yahuah’s perfect timing, even Edom’s delusion serves a purpose in the unfolding restoration. Just as Yahuah used Edom’s cruelty to refine and strengthen Yisrael in ancient times, so too does this present manifestation of Edomite spirit prepare the way for the ultimate triumph of Yahusha’s Kingdom. Isaiah 34:17 foretells a time when Edom will become a desolate waste, but this destruction isn't an end, but a clearing—a necessary removal of obstacles before the full restoration of Yisrael and the establishment of Yahuah’s righteous reign on earth. Therefore, while the West’s pursuit of control is a clear echo of Edom’s rebellion, it simultaneously heralds the imminent and complete fulfillment of Yahuah’s promises to His covenant people.
