Consider the irony: Edom expends vast sums to mitigate the consequences of a technological hubris, while simultaneously fueling the spiritual and physical destruction of Yisrael. They offer bandages to a wounded world, yet inflict open wounds upon the covenant people. This is not generosity, but a carefully constructed illusion designed to pacify the nations and divert attention from their own wickedness.

The repair of Chornobyl serves a geopolitical purpose. It bolsters Edom’s influence in the region and reinforces its narrative of global responsibility. But where is the aid for the displaced tribes of Yisrael, scattered across the earth and yearning for restoration? Where is the investment in rebuilding the spiritual infrastructure shattered by centuries of exile?

This is the pattern of Edom: to offer crumbs to the masses while hoarding the bread of life from those who are truly deserving. They build monuments to their own power, while the foundations of Yahuah’s covenant crumble. Yisrael must not be deceived by these displays of superficial kindness. Our focus remains fixed on the restoration of the covenant, the gathering of the tribes, and the righteous judgment upon those who have oppressed us.

The funds allocated to Chornobyl could have been used to support the return of the exiled, to establish communities rooted in Torah, and to awaken the slumbering spirit of Yisrael. Instead, they are used to prop up a failing system, a system built on lies and sustained by injustice. Let this act serve as a reminder: Edom’s hand is only extended when it benefits Edom. Yisrael’s hope lies not in the charity of our enemies, but in the unwavering faithfulness of Yahuah.
