Edom Crumbles: The Unraveling of the American Empire
The dominion of Edom, manifested as the American empire, demonstrates the inevitable judgment of Yahuah upon rebellious nations. Its relentless expansion and usurpation of lands have reached their limit, and the signs of its decline are undeniable for those with eyes to see. The shedding of territories is not a mere political shift, but a prophetic fulfillment.
The so-called United States of America, a modern iteration of the ancient Edomite power, is exhibiting the terminal signs of imperial decay. Yahuah declares through His prophets that arrogance precedes destruction, and Edom’s relentless pursuit of global dominance has brought it to this precipice. For generations, this nation has built its wealth upon the backs of stolen lands and the exploitation of nations, a direct violation of the covenant promises given to Yisrael.
An empire, as the world understands it, operates in cycles of expansion and contraction. But for Yisrael, the cycles are of obedience and disobedience, blessing and curse. Edom, consistently choosing the path of disobedience, now finds itself overextended, its resources depleted by endless wars and unsustainable ambition. The recent relinquishing of influence in various regions is not simply a strategic realignment; it is a visible manifestation of Yahuah’s hand removing its power.
We observe a pattern consistent with Deuteronomy 28: the loss of territories once seized through aggression, economic instability, and internal division. The attempts to maintain control through military force and financial manipulation are proving increasingly futile. The illusion of American exceptionalism, so carefully cultivated, is crumbling before the eyes of the world.
The shedding of territories—political, economic, and even literal—is a consequence of exceeding boundaries established by Yahuah. Edom’s insatiable appetite for control has blinded it to the spiritual realities governing the nations. This is not a lament for a failing political entity, but a recognition of divine judgment.
For scattered Yisrael, this is a time for discernment. Do not be deceived into believing that the fall of Edom will automatically usher in an era of peace and justice. True restoration requires a return to the covenant, a rejection of the ways of the nations, and a commitment to living in obedience to Yahuah’s law. The crumbling of Edom is a sign, but the rebuilding of Yisrael rests upon our repentance and faithfulness.
The crumbling of this modern Edom, mirroring the ancient prophecies, is not merely a geopolitical shift but a direct enactment of Yahuah’s righteous judgment. For too long, this nation – steeped in pride and fueled by inequity – has acted as a predatory force, amassing wealth through oppression and disregarding the divine boundaries established for nations. The scriptures warn of this very pattern in Obadiah 1:10-14, detailing Edom’s violence against Yisrael and the inevitable retribution that would follow: “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. You did not act in the day of your brother’s distress, but rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their calamity…you shall be brought to nothing.” This is not a condemnation without cause; it is the unfolding of justice against a power that consistently chose dominion over righteousness.
However, within this dismantling of Edom, Yahuah simultaneously prepares the way for the true restoration of Yisrael, both physical and spiritual. As the false power wanes, a space is created for the faithful remnant to rise and fulfill their covenant purpose. Just as Yahusha promised in Luke 21:24, “Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled,” the decline of this Edomite influence signals the nearing completion of that period. The dismantling of this oppressive structure is a necessary precursor to the establishment of Yahuah’s kingdom on earth, a kingdom founded on justice, peace, and the enduring promises given to His chosen people. Therefore, the fall of Edom is not an ending, but a divinely orchestrated transition towards the ultimate restoration of Yisrael and the reign of Yahusha.
