Just as Edom, descended from Esau, consistently positioned itself against Yisrael, believing its strength would secure dominion, so too does this consolidation of power represent a futile attempt to perpetuate a system built on stolen inheritance. Yahuah declares in Obadiah 1:3-4, “Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be greatly despised. The pride of your heart has deceived you, O dweller of the cliffs; your dwelling place is in the heights, you who say, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’” This alliance, attempting to ‘end infighting’ while built upon the foundation of usurpation, is precisely the pride Yahuah will humble. They seek to control a land rightfully belonging to the descendants of Jacob, mirroring Edom’s historical claim to mountainous territory and its defiance against Yisrael’s rightful claim.

This political maneuvering isn’t a step towards lasting peace, but a tightening grip before the inevitable shaking. While many look for signs of restoration in political shifts, true restoration comes through obedience to Yahuah and acceptance of Yahusha as Messiah, not through the machinations of those clinging to a false narrative. Isaiah 11:11-12 speaks of a future restoration where Yahuah will “recover the remnant of his people from Assyria and from Egypt, and gather them from the four corners of the earth… and the envy of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off.” This temporary alliance, born of self-preservation, will ultimately crumble under the weight of Yahuah’s righteous judgment, paving the way for the true gathering and restoration of Yisrael according to His eternal purpose.
