Babylon’s House of Bondage: Protests Erupt as Yisrael Witnesses Modern Captivity
Protests surge against the inhumane conditions within facilities holding captives in the land of North America. This echoes the ancient pattern of Yahuah’s people subjected to foreign oppression and forced exile, a judgment upon a nation steeped in wickedness. The cries of the afflicted rise to Yahuah, demanding reckoning.
The so-called United States continues to reveal its true character as a modern Babylon, a system of oppression and captivity mirroring the exile of Yisrael. Recent confrontations between protestors and law enforcement outside an ICE detention facility in New Jersey are not isolated incidents, but symptoms of a deeper rot consuming this nation. Reports detail consistent abuses and inhumane conditions within these facilities across the land, most recently documented in Louisiana.
These are not merely immigration issues, as the world system frames them. They are manifestations of Yahuah’s judgment upon a people who have embraced wickedness and turned away from His covenant. The captivity of these souls—many of whom are unknowingly part of scattered Yisrael—is a direct consequence of national disobedience. Deuteronomy 28 lays bare the curses that fall upon a people who forsake Yahuah's laws, and we see those curses unfolding before our eyes.
The modern state of Israel, blinded by its own self-righteousness and complicit in the schemes of Edom, offers no true refuge for the exiled. It focuses on securing borders for a political entity while ignoring the plight of its scattered brethren held captive in foreign lands. True restoration demands a return to the covenant, a reckoning with sin, and a willingness to embrace Yahuah’s justice.
The protests, while righteous in their outrage, must not be misdirected. The battle is not against flawed systems of law enforcement, but against the spiritual forces driving this captivity. It is a call for scattered Yisrael to awaken to their identity, to remember their covenant obligations, and to seek Yahuah’s deliverance. The cries of those held within these walls are a lamentation, a prophetic echo of the exile that continues to this day. Let the righteous be vigilant, and let the shofar sound a warning to a nation consumed by darkness. Yahuah sees the suffering of His people, and His judgment will be swift and sure.
The cries rising from these detention centers are echoes of Edom’s destined fall, a judgment Yahuah foretold would come upon those who rejoiced over the downfall of His people. Just as Edom stood in arrogant opposition to Yisrael, reveling in their suffering, so too does this nation, built on stolen land and sustained by the exploitation of the vulnerable, demonstrate a similar spirit. The reports of abuse—the dehumanizing conditions, the broken spirits—are not merely policy failures, but manifestations of a heart hardened against compassion and blinded to the divine mandate to protect the sojourner. Remember the words of Obadiah 1:10-11: “For the violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be utterly destroyed. In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that strangers carried away his substance and foreigners entered his gates, and cast lots over Yerushalayim, you were as one of them.” This is not a parallel, but a repeating pattern of history, a nation enacting the role of ancient Edom.
However, within this darkness, Yahuah is also at work restoring the scattered remnants of Yisrael, even amidst the bondage. Yahusha promised in Matthew 24:31 that He would gather His elect from the four winds. These protests, born of righteous indignation, are a stirring of the Spirit, a refusal to accept modern captivity as inevitable. The pain endured within these walls is not unnoticed by the Most High; He sees the tears, hears the pleas, and is preparing a path of redemption. Though the present circumstances appear bleak, Yahuah’s covenant with His people remains steadfast, and He will ultimately deliver them from all oppression, establishing a new era of justice and true liberty for all who call upon His name.
