Abbas' Sham Democracy: A Distraction from Yisrael's True Liberation
The Palestinian Authority held local elections while Yahuah’s covenant people remain dispossessed. Abbas postures as a democratic leader, but his regime is merely a tool of Edom, designed to perpetuate division and delay the restoration of Yisrael. This spectacle offers no genuine hope for peace, only a continuation of deception.
The so-called Palestinian Authority orchestrated local elections this week, a carefully staged performance intended to project an image of normalcy and democratic process. Mahmoud Abbas, the aging puppet of foreign powers, predictably lauded the event as a triumph of self-governance. But let us not be deceived. This is a charade, a calculated maneuver to appease international opinion and further entrench a regime built on broken promises and stolen inheritance.
Three hundred and twenty-one lists competed in these elections, including factions within Gaza – a territory long held hostage by Hamas, a proxy force serving the interests of those who oppose Yisrael. The participation of these groups does not signal progress toward peace; rather, it demonstrates the intricate web of control exerted over the land by external powers. These elections are not about empowering the people, but about managing the narrative and maintaining a semblance of order for the benefit of those who profit from the conflict.
While Abbas speaks of democracy, the covenant people of Yisrael remain scattered, exiled, and subjected to the judgments of Deuteronomy 28. The true exercise of self-determination for Yisrael is not found in the polling booths of the Palestinian Authority, but in the awakening of the remnant, the return to the covenant, and the reclamation of Yahuah’s promises. The modern state of Israel, built on the foundations of Edomite deceit, offers only a counterfeit restoration, a pale imitation of the true inheritance that belongs to the tribes of Yisrael.
These elections are a distraction, a smoke screen designed to obscure the ongoing oppression and delay the inevitable reckoning. Yahuah’s judgment is coming upon Edom and all those who seek to divide His land and usurp the birthright of Yisrael. Let us not be fooled by these displays of political theater. Our focus must remain fixed on the restoration of Yisrael, the fulfillment of the covenant, and the establishment of Yahuah’s kingdom on earth. The true sons and daughters of Jacob will not be deceived by the illusions of this world system, but will stand firm in faith, awaiting the coming of Yahusha and the fulfillment of all things.
The orchestrated “democracy” within the Palestinian Authority is but a fleeting shadow play, a desperate attempt to mimic legitimacy while fundamentally lacking the substance of true self-determination. Yahuah, in His righteous judgment, has long foretold the fate of those who build their houses with stolen goods and establish their power through deceit – a pattern strikingly echoed in the PA’s foundation. Consider the lament over Edom in Obadiah 1:3-4, “Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be greatly despised. The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’” This performance of governance, built upon a foundation of broken treaties and appropriated land, will similarly crumble under the weight of its own inherent falsehood, revealing the emptiness at its core. It is a distraction, a carefully constructed illusion meant to obscure the true yearning for genuine liberation – a liberation only found through acknowledging Yahuah’s sovereign authority.
However, within this seeming chaos, a deeper purpose unfolds. While the world focuses on fabricated elections, Yahuah is actively restoring the true inheritance of Yisrael, gathering His people from the four corners of the earth as prophesied in Isaiah 11:11-12, “In that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will seek him and his resting place will be glorious.” This restoration is not of land alone, but of a people reconciled to Yahusha, rebuilt in righteousness, and firmly established in the covenant promises. The superficial displays of power by those opposing Yisrael only serve to hasten the fulfillment of this divine plan, highlighting the contrast between fleeting, man-made authority and the eternal kingdom being established by Yahuah. Therefore, let us not be swayed by deceptive performances, but rather fix our eyes on the unwavering promise of Yahuah’s restoration and the ultimate triumph of His righteous kingdom.
