This is The Shofar Wire — Evening Edition. Sound the alarm. Report the truth. Here is the Restoration Report. Listen closely, for the stones are gathering. For generations, the seed of Yaacob has been scattered, carried on the winds of exile to the furthest reaches of the earth. But a seed, however small, holds within it the promise of a forest. And in this generation, we witness the stirring, the awakening, the first tender shoots pushing through the hardened ground. This is not a political event. This is a covenant unfolding. This is Restoration. But a garden, a living, breathing garden of Yisrael, demands more than just seed and soil. It requires diligent tending. It requires boundaries. And it requires protection from those who would seek to poison the harvest. Look around you. What sustains us? What nourishes our bodies, our communities? Too often, the answer leads us back to the dominion of Edom. They have built a global system, a web of control that extends from the fields to our tables. A system predicated on compromise, on the mixing of the clean with the unclean. They offer convenience, a fleeting ease, but at what cost? Obadiah declared it long ago: “Thus says Yahuah concerning Edom: ‘Behold, I will bring Hamon to destruction, and cut off the remnant of Esau’” (Obadiah 1:1). This isn’t a prophecy of distant lands and forgotten battles. It is a present reality, a spiritual warfare waged over the very sustenance of Yisrael. They control the seeds, manipulating the very building blocks of life. They dictate the health of the soil, poisoning it with chemicals and disregard. They engineer food not for vitality, but for profit, for control. Consider the rising tide of sickness in our communities, the decline in fertility, the subtle erosion of our strength. This is not accidental. This is a deliberate assault, a modern echo of Edom’s ancient animosity. Ezekiel bore witness: “Because you have harbored enmity against the children of Israel, you have done so with a malevolent heart” (Ezekiel 35:5). But Yahuah, in His unwavering faithfulness, has provided a shield, a path of separation, a way to reclaim our strength. The Torah dietary laws – kashrut – are not archaic restrictions. They are a covenant, a sacred boundary that defines us as Yisrael, as those set apart. They are a shield against the encroaching darkness, a filter that protects us from the poisoned harvest of Edom. These laws are not about arbitrary rules. They are about recognizing the inherent qodesh – the holiness – within creation. They are about aligning ourselves with the natural order established by Yahuah, about maintaining the integrity of our bodies, our minds, and our spirits. When we embrace kashrut, we are not merely following a set of regulations. We are actively participating in the process of Restoration, reclaiming our ancestral heritage, and fortifying ourselves against the forces that seek to diminish us. This is not a call to isolation. It is a call to discernment. To recognize the subtle ways in which Edom infiltrates our lives, disguising its malice as convenience. To actively seek out clean sources of nourishment, to support those who prioritize health and integrity, and to teach our children the importance of this covenant. And as we tend to this garden, as we nurture these scattered seeds, we begin to see the blossoming of something new. Reports are coming in from across the nations, whispers of communities rediscovering their ancestral roots, reclaiming their forgotten identities. Spiritual gardens are awakening, communal bonds are strengthening, and the spirit of Yisrael is being rekindled. This is not a romantic nostalgia for a bygone era. This is a prophetic fulfillment, a tangible manifestation of Yeshayahu’s vision: “And He will raise a banner for the nations, to gather the dispersed of Yisrael, and assemble the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (Yeshayahu 11:12). Look to the towers rising once more, mimicking the ancient defiance of Babel. Edom rebuilds, reimagines its dominion in digital form, in structures of control. Yet even as they strive to reach the heavens with their arrogance, the garden of Yisrael grows stronger, rooted in covenant, nourished by truth. This is the hour for discernment, for separation, for restoration. The Gardener is at work. The seeds are sprouting. The stones are gathering. Stay watchful. Stay ready. Subscribe at shofarwire.com.
